I agree that his brothers a threat and an annoying one as well when it comes to his arrogance, but I think other than that it’s the emperor‘s dowager FL‘s dad and unrequited love dude plus all of their assassins that are the largest problems. I think that the Empress Dowager is obviously also driving Wedges between the brothers so only when they both sit down and iron out their bad blood, can they come to a consensus if that happens.
So the hope is that it won’t drag over 15 episodes of this whole empress and emperor not getting along thing and she will learn the truth about her family so that way she can help him rule the realm that they govern over. Oh and take control back from absolutely everyone.

Because I’m not a source material reader, none of that matters to me. I just wish that she didn’t have to figure out the truth on her own and that ML for whatever reason, including promising a bad guy won’t tell her the truth. I think it’s also a mixture of like Noble idiocy; if I tell her, she will suffer and grieve. Well she’s suffering and grieving anyways except on top of that, she hates you for what you did even though your reasons are justified.
Plus whatever misunderstanding is going on between the half Brothers I think that needs to be worked out as well. ML needs as many people on his side as possible.

I watched all of those and liked them very much and various degrees but causing a misunderstanding for the hell of creating a misunderstanding doesn’t make sense. Thankfully, this thing isn’t 40 episodes, but I hope they don’t keep her in the dark for at least 15 of them.
