I thought this was going to be like the anime, which focused more on food and I loved that. This focused more on the Maiko themselves and at first it kinda bummed me out but honestly, it was still a sweet slice of life that was a pleasant and enjoyable watch. The relationship between the two girls felt realistic like they really did grow up with each other. Sometimes itās just nice to watch something thatās purely cosy
This was the most painfully human show I have watched in a really long time. Grief isnāt linear nor does it happen when a person passes, you can grieve even when theyāre still in the room alive and talking with you. It was a beautiful interpretation of this stage of life and how itās felt by those caring for you. I genuinely do not understand why the score is so low - it was beautifully acted and heartfelt
Finally, someone who says it as it is. When I first had finished watching everyone kept calling this "toxic"…
I finished it the other day and still think this could have been solved with some clear communication and establishing boundaries of what they both were comfortable with.
That in mind, he said REPEATEDLY, he wasnāt into dating (in fact he had a whole reputation around it) and she did acknowledge it so you canāt be made at someone telling you who they are and ignoring it. Could he have been more clear? Sure but that would the end of the show on the first episode. I feel the point of all of this is seeing these deeply hurt, flawed people work through their complex feelings. I liked the show and Iām calling bs on the red flag.
Iāve started this today and looking at the comments⦠I guess no oneās heard of poly relationships? Not saying thatās whatās happening here, however, it kinda is and that doesnāt make the ML a walking red flag. If they just communicated properly weād be good
I genuinely liked this show and didnāt mind the slow bits. My only complaint was leaving the āThe Heroesā plot point to the very end because it felt like it was tacked on to just finish the show. It was heavy for the both of them and should have been given more time.
Actually I am! Itās the second cdrama I ever watched (I watched it last year) and I donāt think I gave it a fair viewing when I did so I wanted to revisit it and see if my opinion changed. Iām on ep 14 and itās growing on me āŗļø
Just finished this and it was thoroughly enjoyable! Agree with some of the other comments, the relationship between her and her brother felt so natural and funny, it really sold it to me. The romance was sweet with the right amount of tension. Iād deffo watch this again
Just started this and Iām glad I decided to watch One and Only first because the tie in to it always made me chuckle like I was also there in the past life and I know theyāll be destined to be together. Iām okay with the slow burn as long thereās a payoff in the end
I am STRUGGLING through this one. Still going, not planning on dropping cause once I start a show I see it through in case it changes my mind but this one is making me work for it. Is Wei Wei attracted to him at all? This kissing scenes are so rough to watch, I mean heās trying to make it work but itās more āhaha, weirdā than āaww, cuteā
I have VERY mixed feelings about the ending. I should have just listened to what another commenter said about stopping at ep 35. All would have been fine and I would have been left with a smile on my face. Now, I've been thinking about it a whole day later and I'm going through a lot of emotions right now. š¢š¢š¢š¢š¢ TTEOTM is going to stay with me for a very long time. Absolutely loved it.
