I agree. In my opinion, he is not a good friend, especially in the first 5 or 6 episodes.
Yeah, everyone experiences things differently. I tend to look a little more deeply into things, though, so our tastes might not always match, and that's completely normal.

I agree. In my opinion, he is not a good friend, especially in the first 5 or 6 episodes.
I usually don't rate a drama before finishing it, but according to my rating scale, this feels like a 7 or 7.5 to me so far. Because many of the nature scenes and the interactions between the main leads felt edited and unnatural to me. Especially the scene where they hold hands on the drop tower and when the ML removes a leaf from the FL's hair—it felt artificial. I could have accepted this in older dramas, but in 2026, I honestly didn't expect to see a drama like this. I haven't found the visuals of any recent dramas to be this artificial, at least.

I'm also not that satisfied with the OST. The ending song is the only one I really liked. I've been obsessed with LFY's OST for 2 months, so other songs haven't been able to attract me that much.

But I'm really enjoying the family, sibling, friendship, and chaotic moments. Anyway, no matter what, Tian Xi Wei never disappoints me. As long as she is good, the rest doesn't matter that much to me.

HYT may be a good actor, but he didn't suit the role of the ML in this drama at all. In the high school scenes, he looked way too old to me. I couldn't feel any chemistry or emotion from him either; he came across as a bit robotic. I'm really disappointed. I don't know why this drama has an 8 rating because, so far, I haven't enjoyed it that much. These are just my honest thoughts, so please don't take them to heart.

I did. I rewatched those scenes the first time I watched it, and after finishing Episode 12, I even went back…

Yeah, you're right. Chen Feiyu absolutely nailed the role of Li Xun. That was such a great drama. Miss them 💛

I don't know. The romance itself is fine, but I don't think the male lead fits this high school drama at all. I'll just keep watching and see where it goes. I just hope I won't end up dropping it because I haven't really enjoyed it much so far.

Tbh, I've watched 12 episodes, but I still haven't felt even 1% chemistry between them. 😖
Btw, your profile is from L&P! One of my favorite dramas. I think I still prefer this kind of intense romance. 😭❤️

Does anyone else rewatch ep 8 for the sibling scenes? It was beautifully done.
I did. I rewatched those scenes the first time I watched it, and after finishing Episode 12, I even went back and watched Episode 8 again. So far, that's the only episode I've actually liked 🧡

No hardfeeling. A penny for your thought. If it's not HYT, can you think any other male lead that suitably match…

Yayy! Meng Jie and Ding Chengxin will be back for the August 10th & 11th Hi6 recordings. Meng Jie has wrapped up filming her drama, and Ding Chengxin will rejoin after finishing his concert. It's been quite a while since Ding Ge and Meng Jie last recorded together. 𓍢🌷͙֒

I still miss lao qin
Tbh, me too. The regular cast used to gather around him all the time. Now everyone's busy, so those moments are rare. I'm really glad Ding Chengxin and meng jie are so dedicated, and I love the rest of the cast too. But I still miss Lao Qin. The kind of chaotic fun the show used to have just hasn't been the same without him. 🥹❤️‍🩹

Yep. Meng Jie will be participating in the recordings on July 27 and 28, so she'll appear in the next two episodes.…
Well, the way you asked that honestly sounded like we were childhood friends, when in reality we're complete on opposite sides.

There's a big difference between "Can we only watch the livestream on Weibo?" and "You gotta access it through Weibo, right?" The attitude is completely different.

Maybe take a look at how other people talk to strangers in the comments. And honestly, I already know what kind of person you are!

Not hapy with her but least the ratio of M vs F 's a bit more balanced. I basically consider her a self-satisfied…
Well, there's absolutely no need for a spoiler tag anymore. This discussion has gone in a completely different direction. 🙄

First of all, yes—I know Meng Jie very well, at least through everything she's shared publicly. She's my second favorite actress after Bai Lu. I'm not judging her based only on dramas or Hi6. I've watched countless behind-the-scenes clips, award shows like Weibo Night, New Year's Eve fancams, her public appearances, Wonderland, and many other variety shows. I've also seen what others artists who have worked with her have said about her. So no, I'm not making this judgment from a few edited clips.  I am not such a dumb as you, everyone has got my back. Meng Jie is indeed one of the kindest, most caring, and most considerate actresses I've ever seen.

Take Keep Running, for example. When the boat flipped over, she was struggling herself, yet her first instinct was to make sure Bailu wouldn't drift away before worrying about herself. Whenever an artist is having a difficult time, Meng Jie is often one of the first people to support them. That's why I'm saying this with confidence. If you have Weibo, I can even show you fancams and clips that back up what I'm saying.

Now let me ask you something. How do you decide who's a good person and who's not? You haven't personally met any of these celebrities either. From the way you're arguing, it almost sounds like you believe every actor is constantly putting on an act everywhere they go—whether it's on a drama set, a variety show, or even in their personal lives. Do you really think everyone is just pretending all the time?

And honestly, why did you have to pick my comment to start this argument? You already saw that I was simply happy Meng Jie became a permanent member of Hi6. Why did you feel the need to leave such a negative reply under my comment? Plenty of people agreed with me already. You could've shared your opinion in your own separate comment. People who agreed with you would've simply liked your comment. I normally don't get involved in arguments with people like you. But what you wrote really got on my nerves. You already knew the kind of response your comment would get, so why deliberately start such an unnecessary argument out of nowhere? Instead, you chose to turn my positive comment into an unnecessary argument section where others are also arguing with you with the same matter. You started this discussion, not me.

Also, why spread negativity in the first place? This comment for me was meant for celebrating her joining Hi6. By now, it's obvious that you don't like Meng Jie, and that's completely your choice. I also have artists I personally don't enjoy either, even though millions of people love them. But I never let out of my way to leave insulting comments about them because I respect the hard work that got them where they are. At most, I'll occasionally make a small comment if an artist disappoints me with something they did—like I did recently with Tan Jianci. But making negative assumptions about someone's personality is something I would never do. It's simply not the way I think.

Saying you're "not happy" was one thing—that's your opinion. But calling her a "self-satisfied pretender"? That's not criticism anymore. That's simply disrespectful.

And no, we're not looking at the same amount of information. I've followed her journey across countless shows, events, interviews, and behind-the-scenes moments. That's why I see a much bigger picture than someone judging her from a limited perspective. To me, she truly belongs in the Hi6 family.

Variety shows aren't scripted dramas where everyone spends every second acting for the camera. Most of the interactions are genuine. People are invited because they're entertaining and have good chemistry with others. That's one of the reasons Meng Jie has been so well received.

As for the games on Hi6, every episode has different missions and hidden roles assigned in advance. Of course the cast won't reveal every truth on camera—that's literally part of the game. If you or I were there, we'd do the same thing. That doesn't mean everything about them is fake.

Honestly, I think you're reading far too much into things. You're turning normal interactions into something negative for no real reason.

And yes, after reading everything you've written, I still believe my conclusion is based on years of following her, while yours is based on assumptions. I genuinely can't understand how someone can interpret everything so negatively.

I completely disagree with your view. And obviously, negative ones are treated as moral failings. Personally, I think constantly assuming the worst about public figures is unfair. They're human beings too. They deserve to make mistakes, grow, and simply live without having every little action interpreted in the worst possible way. That's exactly why I can't stand people who constantly speculate about celebrities' personalities. I really can't stand this kinda person. I would rather cut them with Ariana Grande's chainsaw.

I'm not going to say much more. I've already written a long explanation to calm myself down and to make you understand that what you're doing is completely wrong. If you still have any doubts, then watch this full video to see what kind of end people with such a negative, judgmental mindset deserve : https://youtu.be/afSgBNwmZrQ?si=17kF7iADxU00p961

If you genuinely don't enjoy Meng Jie, that's completely fine. But then simply skip the content she's in instead of leaving hurtful comments under posts made by people who appreciate her.

And finally, I am actually not telling you to stop watching Hi6. I only suggested avoiding the content involving someone you clearly dislike. Those are two completely different things.

Wonderful news. I think there's a special bond between Meng Ziyi and Hi6. It's like a home to her whenever she…
I didn't know what happened with KR until you mentioned it, but I completely agree with the rest. Hi6 has always treated Meng Ziyi like family. The way they welcomed and supported her has always felt so sincere. Moments like that are exactly why I appreciate the Hi6 family so much 💞
Meng Ziyi truly deserved to become part of the group. I'm so happy she's finally a member of the Hi6 family. It finally feels complete, and I hope we'll get to see even more interactions with Meng Jie in the future. 🤍

Not hapy with her but least the ratio of M vs F 's a bit more balanced. I basically consider her a self-satisfied…
Wow... that's honestly one of the rudest comments I've read.

Calling someone a "self-satisfied pretender" when you don't personally know her is incredibly disrespectful. I've watched many of Meng Ziyi's shows, and she's genuinely the most kindest, most caring, and most considerate actresses I've ever seen.

Meng Ziyi belongs on Hi6 like family. She has dedicated so much of herself to this show, and the Hi6 family clearly treats her like one of their own. She has earned that place from the very beginning through her sincerity, hard work, and the genuine bond she shares with everyone there.

You may not like her, but reducing her entire personality to such an insulting label is unfair and completely uncalled for.

And please don't call that your "honest thought." That's not honesty—it's just a hateful assumption fueled by your own bias and jealousy. If Meng Ziyi's presence makes you that unhappy, then maybe you're the one who's not welcome here, not her.
