If the Meng devils didn’t get caught up with justice at the end for what they did, pulling connections to do evil, then I would be surprised censorship allow for this drama to air on national tv in China. Due to current sentiment against corruption etc. I would think they might need to modify story of novel… just my thought. I’m biased in that I want to see Meng devils really lose everything and be jailed. Let them live and suffer

Novel readers, could you share what happened to the evil mum (and dad) in the end? Also did SY get promoted away from frontline?

YY is a photocopy of his dad. But the edited version where the refinement bits come from his mum. Standing tried by side, anyone can tell its father and son. YY himself admitted he looks like dad.

For those who read the novel, was the man who died song yan’s biological father? I saw some posts that suggested otherwise…

Rumor has it that he is into acting for passion and not interested in its fame and fortune. Apparently his family background is wealthy and a son of rich businessman, who has no wants. Not sure if true 😅
