After finishing The East Palace, the withdrawal hit hard... so I went straight back to rewatching this... moving…
Still thinking about the ending...they lost the battle but at least they made it out alive. What is haunting me even more is knowing they will probably never be able to defeat that thing.
Gotta give the writers credit for choosing the royal palace as the setting. With all the shady shit that's gone down in royal history.... it honestly feels like the perfect backdrop for ghosts and supernatural stuff. It works way better than a modern day setting.
