I loved that movie -Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell - a pair in real life ! 🌹 Ahhh good old 80s movies… now that genre is all but gone and I’m watching Asian dramas… 😅
This was one of the first k-series I watched and loved it. Although I remember how shocked I was by the ruthless korean job market. The interviews and even her working at the company felt so unjustly cruel - the hierarchy is insane. That aside, I liked the publishing business details and most of all the romance development - it was very heartwarming. The actors really matched their characters - their relationship softness and kindness what I enjoyed the most.
What's the humour like please? Is it slapstick or more dry?
It’s a good question - I wouldn’t say it’s slapstick silly - nor dry. To me it’s a situational comedy type. I wonder how others would characterize it. The show is really good, balanced well, and deserves a higher rating.
Is Lee Hong naes character good in this one? I was rewatching The Uncanny Counter and was still blown away by…
His character here has my heart - I couldn’t remember first where I’ve seen him before then found out it was Uncanny counter. I was so glad he is not in a villainous role any more… He only makes scary faces at times, which brings memories… 😱😱😱😅
He is so wonderful in The Village Barber! Such a genuinely sweet and kind man, who is so very good with people…
I didn’t watch that reality show - not my cup of tea, but Lee Sang Yi has been my favorite actor since Once again - I love every role Ive seen him in… can feel the warmth and kindness through the screen. It is such a rare quality - cannot play it up… Talented and kind man 🌹
He is so good in The Legend of Kitchen Soldier. He was so familiar looking but I couldn’t remember where I’ve seen him before and it was Uncunny counter evil spirit! - then it all came back…He did that role well - VERY SCARY! 😱😱😱😱😅
Well summarized! I was surprised to see so many bad reviews on top… Granted - the plot is a piece of Swiss cheese, but how it was delivered matters the most. I just turned my rational thinking off half way and enjoyed leads insane chemistry. 😅
I really liked the drama - even the saddest episodes. I dont see myself rewatching it in the future though - the drama flipped from unhappy country life (which compared with the end was happy) to a total sadness in the last 4 episodes with just a blink of hope in the end. I loved character development for the father and Lee Min Ki character - him finding his calling in the end was suprising, but so fitting. I think older sister relationship is bound for a failure - she never appeared herself in his presence. As for the younger sister and Gu - I so wanted them to find hapiness, which reallstlcally is impossible, still I want to imagine that with him liberating himself from that ruthless world and putting a bottle down they can flee together, find their quiet country life again and be finally happy ❤️9.5/10 ❤️
Finished! Well, the plot is kind of a usual mess for a time travel drama (8/10), but the couple deserves a 100! Actors chemistry and write up of both characters is what I enjoyed the most! Their closing scenes made me smile big and that what matters most 🌹❤️💙🌹
What is you favorite drama with her?
The show is really good, balanced well, and deserves a higher rating.
Their BTS are the best! 😅

I had such a good cry and laugh at the same time on confession-rejection-accident scene. 😭😂🥹
