Two things appear in the comments: ML is not affectionate/expressive enough and 2nd ML is on the other hand too expressive (touchy-feely)… Well, to think about it, this is very consistent character portrayal given our ML grew up alone, had a major trauma event in his life, leading to all sorts of insecurities and a fear of abandonment. Plus his job seeing all the scam and horrors of humanity doesn’t induce his love for humans. All the while, 2nd ML an idol and artist being adored and admired by his fans (haters aside) he is seeing this love expression towards him. ML keeps a cold facade, but in fact he shows his caring side from the very beginning. In Ep 1 not only he didn’t ignore her being scammed and got involved, he helped her after the event - gave his shoes and brought her to the station himself. And these little acts of kindness make us fall in love with someone and so she did. He is a gentle and caring soul - he just didn’t learn how to express love….That’s all. 😅
The scene in the rain was so good... ML getting soaked - his beautiful sad eyes… 🥲❤️🌹 Actually I also like Ko Won character and he is about to get his heart smashed - poor thing… My love hate relationship with Korean screenwriters - they make FL so thick - she doesn’t listen to the guy who she cares about (he comes out to her house with no business whatsoever - how can anyone misunderstand that!) but does listen to what the other one has to say… Ahh all this drama… 😅
Mixed feelings on this one. I loved the realistic feel of it, female friendship and main leads love story (up…
Enjoyed it so much in the beginning, but unfortunately the last part of this show left me disappointed. Reading some comments and reviews I was mentally prepared, but can't help thinking they wasted last 4-5 episodes and didn't resolve anything. Even though I appreciated the realism of it, the story lacks balance and insight in FL feelings. Ep 19-25 seems like authors forgot the whole main love line and the feelings of both Xsu Tong and Mu Cheng were left hanging. Instead we were introduced to bunch of other details with many loose ends. The tragic ending for one of the characters felt too rough even for a realistic drama, and the prison scene was totally unrealistic (no one in their right mind would allow that conversation to happen). Then there is a whole new story with a different man - that was cruel in a way what writers did to us -viewers- to get all sympathetic to this guy now and then sharp turn in the end... And again we never found out about FL true feelings, it was just a glimpse of a hint in the end.. I wish they would stick with the main love line and not dive into all of those issues. People say these were addressed in 3 sequel episodes, but reading the synopsis I don't even want to get on that roller coaster again. Would I recommend to watch it to other people - YES! just stop at episode 18 and make up your own ending... LOL.
Mixed feelings on this one. I loved the realistic feel of it, female friendship and main leads love story (up to a certain point). Mu Cheng was extremely attractive character and his confession was one of the best scenes I've seen in any drama. This show may have become my entry point into Chinese dramaland.. (99% of my watchlist is Korean) and left a lasting impression on me, and not many shows stick in my mind like that. BUT...
Is this good? It has 8.8 star but the reviews say otherwise??? I watched Lovely Runner recently. Is this better…
This drama is very different than LR - can’t compare these two. It’s serious and addresses mental issues heads on. I watched this when it aired and the rating was not as high, but the more people watching, the more rating goes up, which really signifies the quality of the show. As a health care professional myself I rated it 10 not only because how well it was directed, scripted and acted out, but it should be part of a curriculum for any student studying psychology - that’s how good I think it is. If you decide to watch it - be prepared, not an easy stuff but well worth it.
Ep 14 is so agonizing to watch… I only can tolerate 10-15 min a day… hopefully the end of this show will provide satisfying resolution… Keep thinking that if I didn’t watch CCIR last year would be even harder to understand this community of hyenas…
The director didn’t disappoint - the way human nature is portrayed here makes my guts boil and at the same time admire the director’s and actors’ talent of showing it so precisely so accurately.
Thats so typical... that teacher wjo has a crush on Hye Jin.. everyting's fine as long HE likes her and has hope…
That scene when he « confessed » infuriated me - so much entitlement as though she owed him something for what’s he was feeling, so much disrespect towards her… Slap and then some more. Hope he gets a beating in the end! 👹
I struggle with this one… As much as I love this director works and the cast, I fail to connect with the plot unfortunately. Like many people said before- the politics of these educational battles are very culture specific..and not resonating with me.. educated in two countries and graduating from two colleges with honors - all of this seem to be just too much…
This is an amazing show -from the beginning to the end. Loved its steady progression, how it draws you in, climax in the end…plot logic and simplicity, yet uniqueness. Great acting, cinematography and music!!!! ❤️🌹💙All the time travel overly complicated drama writers should learn from this one!
