I understand the main plot, but it still feels a little scattered to me. Maybe that’s because the story didn’t go in the direction I expected at the beginning. With the new characters, conflicts, and ideas being introduced, I haven’t felt fully invested in the plot yet. I’m mainly continuing because I like the cast and don’t want to drop it too soon.

I’m not sure what it is, but after 8 episodes, I’m finding it really hard to continue watching. I can’t tell whether the problem is the cinematography, the overall visual style, the makeup, or the storyline. The plot no longer seems to follow a clear direction; it feels scattered and disjointed. Apart from the first few episodes, I’m not really invested in the story anymore.

I genuinely love the chemistry between the two leads, but the drama feels like it was made on a very limited budget. For example, the scene where the teenage FL was running through the desert and the teenage ML showed up to save her looked extremely unrealistic. The visual effects were also poorly done and made the scene feel cheap and unconvincing. I honestly couldn’t believe that a drama starring these two actors could look so low-budget.

Do you think I should keep watching? I expected more from a drama featuring this cast.

I felt the same way, but not starting from episode 15; for me, it was episode 21. I thought I was watching some kind of special or extra episode because the story no longer seemed connected. Maybe something was cut, or perhaps they ran out of story, idk.
After that, I didn’t really feel like continuing, even though I really like Neo Hou. Still, I kept watching, finished it and gave it an 8.5, even though I started watching it thinking it would be a 10/10.

I wish there were more romance in it.

Honestly, I don’t really believe in love at first sight. To me, it feels like something that’s mostly based on physical appearance. I believe love comes from truly getting to know someone, just like Jiayu fell for Wuyi after she got to know him better.

I’m on episode 23, and I can feel the chemistry between them, which I like. I also like both of the main leads. But honestly, I still don’t understand why they fell in love. Hou Minghao is really good at showing love through his eyes, and I can feel his emotions, but I still don’t really get why his character fell for the FL. On the other hand, I can understand why the FL would fall for the ML, but I don’t think Ai Mi portrayed that development convincingly enough.
I’m also confused about when exactly the FL moved on from the SML and became ready to fall for the ML. For like 15 episodes or even more, all she kept saying was “A Mao, A Mao,” so it feels strange that she suddenly got over him and started seeing the ML differently.

And honestly, I’m starting to get a little tired of the story too. Everything feels dragged out, and I really wish the drama had focused more on the romance. Episode 21 also suddenly had a time skip, For a second, I seriously thought I was watching a special episode or some kind of extra, because I couldn’t connect it to the previous episodes.

I didn’t even know it, and now I’m taking that into consideration too.😂 The only thing keeping me from watching it is the FL pretending to be a man. overall, I don’t like dramas where women have to disguise themselves as men

Honestly, I really wish they had waited. I’m so used to his real voice after watching so many of his other dramas, and it’s just not the same. His facial expressions really only match his own voice
