Okay, BFTB is over, time to start this. How is it?

Ditto. Yan Hui is queen, boss bitch, a rare gem... I want more heroines like her. At times this felt like a western fantasy - it approached things from a rather modern perspective but with a fantasy lens. You pretty much captured my feelings about this. Quite new to cdrama land but this show really knocked it out of the gate for me.

I just want you all to know it takes a lot to make me tear up, but that ending... gdi, I teared up. It's so damn good. RELATIONSHIP GOALS. I know this show is getting meh from people who say that the stakes weren't really that high, but it's the journey and the love that counts. From beginning to end you have a couple that remains true to one another, that fight for what's right and puts themselves second. I love that - I want more of it. (Also, LOL to the director sneaking in that post 'the end' bit - so 4th wall, like he was letting his shipper heart fly.)

I'm gonna miss this show, because the romance felt so real and natural and in a world where everything is cliche... it's nice to have one director that didn't treat it that way.
