Make sure you have tissues nearby, because this drama will make you cry non-stop.
This drama really made me want to cry đ. What I love most is how the mystery unfolds bit by bit in every episode, instead of saving everything for the final part. The storytelling is beautifully structured, the CGI is impressive, and the costumes are absolutely stunning. One scene that really stayed with me is when Wuyi says, âDonât cry, donât be sad. Awu will always be with you.â I loved it so much that I ended up memorizing the line in Mandarin.
As for the romance, I didnât find the relationship between Jiling and Wuyi cringe or cheesy at all it felt genuinely sweet. Meanwhile, the relationship between Wangyuan and Shi Guang feels more mature. Itâs like they still have that youthful love, but with the emotional depth of adults. Itâs a bit hard to describe, but it feels more grounded and real.
And speaking of Wangyan, she really feels like the eldest sister who carries a heavy responsibility, silently holding everything together even when sheâs completely broken inside.
Also⊠why is the villain so hard to defeat? đ Itâs like she/he die, come back, die again, and then come back again. Usually in cdramas, the villain is defeated once and thatâs it.
In the final episode, I actually felt bad for Lijie, especially when he was searching for Jiling. As for the ending, I think it was quite satisfying a happy ending for me, even though I know some people found it sad. Yes, their memories were erased, but it still felt reasonable. So many people had already died fighting the villain, and Wuyi was never meant to survive until the end anyway. Compared to living on while remembering all that pain or losing memories, but some of them are still alive. I think the ending made sense.
Anyway, Jiling and Wuyi have become one of my favorite couples. Theyâve gone through so much suffering together. Wuyi went through countless time loops just to save Jiling, and as for Jiling⊠no words could ever fully capture the depth of his pain, his love, and everything heâs going through.đ
Long story short, they faced countless hardships, but their relationship only grew stronger over time. Iâm honestly so grateful they finally got their own ending after everything they went through even if itâs in a different universe.

I hope I can find a workplace like Tengda someday.
Just imagine what kind of company would want to lose money? Yet in this drama, the more the company loses, the more Pei Qian profits. At first, I thought 5,000 yuan wasnât that bad, at least itâs a monthly salary. But then I got curious and converted it into my countryâs currency, and I was honestly surprised by how low it actually is. That probably explains why Pei Qian works so hard to make his company lose money.Even though the beginning had plenty of funny moments that made me laugh, as the story progressed and Pei Qianâs smile slowly faded, the humor became less frequent, though it was still there. But itâs okay it was still enjoyable for me.
While watching this drama, I actually felt jealous of the Tengda employees. Even though theyâre fictional characters, I was still jealous. I wish I had a boss like Pei Qian and a working environment like Tengda. I donât mean things like going home early or arriving late like in Tengdaâs rules, because jobs like that rarely exist in real life. What I really mean is the positive working environment there. Kind coworkers, a good boss, very high salaries, and great office facilities.
Itâs not that my own workplace is bad itâs actually good but the atmosphere at Tengda still made me wish I could work somewhere like that.
Overall, I really enjoyed this story. It kept me looking forward to the next episode every time.
Overall rating: 9.5/10.
I actually wanted to give it a 10, but there were a few parts that felt slightly lacking, so I decided on 9.5 instead. đ

The ending felt rushed.
I watched this drama because I was getting a little tired of palace politics. Donât get me wrong, I still enjoy that genre, but I wanted a short break and planned to watch something different for once. But in the end, I still couldnât escape from palace politics đAt first, I thought the drama would be purely wuxia since I didnât even see palace politics tags on MDL . The first few episodes were amazing a lot of fighting scenes, some investigation elements, which is exactly the genre I like. But later on, it slowly turned into another palace politics drama again. Hmm⊠since I was already halfway through, I just continued watching it.
For me, the drama was really good, especially the fighting choreography. Plus, from the spoilers I saw on MDL, none of Zhan Zhaoâs close friends died, so I was actually planning to give it a 9/10. But I changed my mind during the ending and lowered it to 8.7/10 because it ended up feeling like a typical cdrama ending again confusing, rushed, and somehow there must be a character death for emotional impact.
Honestly, Ming Zhu Erâs death felt completely unnecessary. I really donât understand why cdrama directors love making endings like this. Why does someone always have to die at the end? And why do they make the ending feel incomplete or poorly explained instead of properly wrapping everything up? Is it really that hard to let all the characters survive and give the story a satisfying conclusion?
