It wasn't even interesting, the chemistry was also not there . Although I did like some of their moments in that island . But when they started talking through phone (whatever that thing is ) all the time it kinda felt annoying . I hope ml will focus on his goals .

The ML was literally around 10 years old when his competitive streak toward the FL first started. A child that age isn't thinking in terms of male ego or feeling threatened by a woman's success the way you're describing. His competitiveness came from meeting someone who could finally match his abilities, not because she was a girl.

I'm not trying to defend the ML, though. I'm just pointing out how his character was written in the original novel. The drama have exaggerated his insecurity to create more conflict, and I honestly think that's a poor adaptation choice. My concern is with how they've changed his characterization, not with excusing his behavior.

That's literally the premise of the novel, though. If that dynamic isn't your thing, maybe watch a different drama .
The ML is still the ML regardless of how much you dislike him, just like the SML will remain the SML no matter how sincere or supportive he appears.
Also, the drama has changed the ML quite a bit. In the original novel, he isn't nearly as insecure as they're portraying him here. It honestly feels like they exaggerated those traits to make the FL seem even more sympathetic.
His competitive spirit was what drew him to her in the first place. He'd finally met someone who could match or even surpass him, so his curiosity and competitive nature naturally pushed him to get closer to her. That's how their friendship started.

I also don't think there's anything inherently wrong with him wanting to compete with her. He's human too. Being challenged by someone on your level or even better than you is a perfectly natural reaction.
I'm just hoping they don't keep changing his character for the sake of making the drama more dramatic .

I think Rui Sheng will save Wuyi otherwise what's the purpose of her character ?

Why does everyone feel it will be a love triangle ? I have not read the novel but as of now in the drama it didn’t seem to me that his Highness is interested in Lifei romantically. Also I remember in the early episode where fl sold ml , Tong Zhou saved the mysterious girl performer . Honestly it looked to me that they might be the pair . I can be wrong though 😂

Well, I think the current number of episodes is enough for the storyline . After watching the episodes I was worried that it might be dragged if there were more episodes 😅

I hope we get to see more of the first life because I'm still curious about one thing: did Fu Jiu love Zhao ? 😢
Now about the second life, I feel like the FL is being a little too hasty . Even though she knows about the things that Xiao Xun did , she seems to forget that he fooled her for years. A man who can hide his true intentions for long is definitely not someone to underestimate.

You are using words like rape and slavery casually when nothing of that sort has actually happened . Jun Ho clearly does not know the full truth and he seems genuinely confused about the situation. I do agree that his insistence on marrying Jang Mi (Seo Rin) is coming across as negative but to me he seems to be in denial phase because he can't believe the girl who used to stalk him is now over him .
Other than this he hasn't done anything wrong till now to call him pure evil and whatever names .

I love your perspective on Jun Ho ❤️ I didn’t like how some people started calling him evil because of a few things. Deep down, he still feels like a child who longs for love and emotional warmth. The scene where he saw Jang Mi caring for the child who had fallen clearly touched him , something he clearly missed in his life
In the end he is also a victim 💔

I hope Hwa Yeong discovers this week that Seo Rin is actually the one who was hurt and that Jang Mi is the person by her side. She won't be able to do anything about it anyway . It would be interesting to watch Hwa Yeong and Jang Mi directly challenge each other while living under same roof .
Jun Ho seems completely determined to marry Seo Rin (Jang Mi), so it would be quite dramatic if Hwa Yeong suddenly begins to oppose the marriage. That twist would definitely make the storyline more engaging because then Jang Mi might actually get close to Jun ho and marry him 😂
Baek Ho and Jang Mi Office romance is getting on my nerves 😑 why can't they behave themselves.
