Your stick-up-the-ass, SJW reaction is what's cringy and ever so predictable. I said in my first comment above…
Then you're doing it wrong.

I've read all of these comments. What's your point? One of them said they liked the Sikh scene, and one of them said that unless you're a Sikh,, they don't care what you think. Which is exactly what I said: I don't care what they think either. And the show-makers have every right to mock whomever they choose. In this case they were mocking stupid Thai boys. OMG! THEY ARE MOCKING ALL THAI BOYS!!!!! SHUT DOWN THIS PRODUCTION IMMEDIATELY!

Since you're not responding to my comments with anything coherent, I'll leave it here.

First of all, how do I know they are Indian? How many alleged Indians here were NOT offended? Have you taken a survey and figured out the percentages? You have no idea.

Regardless of that, the terms of my position on this do not change because some people say they are offended. It doesn't matter to me if they are offended. They can stop watching the show. People can say all kinds of things offend them. Does that mean we shut down all movies/theatre/music/books/poetry/art/design because someone somewhere in the world is offended by something in them? To me the answer is clearly no, we do not.

Your alleged Indian friends can say whatever they want; it's their right to feel however they choose. And then if they're honest about it, they can stop watching and quit looking for excuses to bitch about their tender feelings.

I am ethnically German and grew up being called a "Kraut" (as in Sauerkraut, the German side dish) among my small-town friends because I went to a German Lutheran Church and parochial school, as a result of WW ii and Nazi Germany. So what? Who cares? It was a joke, it was funny, and I didn't care. Tell your buddies who claim to be Indians to get over themselves and stop watching this series.

They'll be among the .002% of the audience who do so.

Even if all of what you present is true, how does that make showing in a fictional series that a given group of dudes are complete morons, as indicated by the fact that they dressed up as Indian Sikhs-in Thailand no less-with obviously fake beards and the rest as part of a moronic plan to help their buddy out, do anything to hurt the Sikh population?

Are you suggesting that people who see this episode of this BL will take away from it that Indian Sikhs are bad people because some idiots dressed up as them, and as a result go out and look for Indian Sikhs to abuse and discriminate against? Is that how YOUR brain works? Or are you just looking for something to be offended about today?

I've read here and elsewhere that many Indian watchers of this program are finding the Sikh imposter scene to be hilarious. Do you claim to speak for them? Do you know better than they do what they should deem offensive?

You are a parody of an SJW. Stop watching this show immediately, in protest of the series' horribly offensive and epic, negative portrayal of Sikhs. It's the only right thing to do.

LOL. This kind of ignorant comment was entirely predictable too. When in desperate need of supporting material for your losing position, always first accuse or imply that those who disagree with you are racist, homophobic, misogynistic, etc.

Please do share your deeply thought-out philosophy on how dressing up as an Indian Sikh is the equivalent of wearing blackface. Also please share your thoughts on whether it is EVER permissible to dress up and/or don makeup to play or portray or imagine oneself to be a person of any ethnicity other than that which is precisely your own. Under what conditions would doing that be OK, if any?

I'm eager to be educated and enlightened by your musings on this matter, so I look forward to your reply.

Great comment, except maybe for that last paragraph. Why do gay relationships have to be presented in only one context, the struggle for identity and rights? That's one aspect of our existence but it's far from the only one. I'm not a woman or a girl and I watch tons of BLs, as do you and many other men. I'm frequently titillated by BL content. Why is that assumed to be a bad thing, Why is it a bad thing if some women and girls are titillated by it. Many straight men are titillated by Lesbian porn. So what? Human sexuality is complex and fluid and I'm all for all of it.

Agreed. It wasn't funny. I was so uncomfortable watching that scene and cringed.Apart from this, the show is damn…
The "joke" was funny as hell to the vast majority of the audience, or at least to those who don't walk around with two-by-fours up their asses.

Thanks! :D

He's underage to appear in pornography: which this is not!
I don't think you need to be 18 to consent to a fucking smooch in a fictional series or film.

I like the series but is it just me or I think it's a bit disturbing about the kiss scene? I know they are young…
oh my god...are you serious? You do know that 17 year-olds kiss all the time, right? I kissed a girl who was my leading lady in an Operetta in third grade. We kissed. On the lips. Oh my god, the humanity! The perversion! The horror! That girl and I weren't even PAID to do it, while Pi is a paid actor. Jesus...

I didn’t want their first kiss to be like this. I feel bad for Pi. Their first kiss should have been in a private…
That will come soon enough. The fact that he thought he was giving his first kiss to Nam while he was actually kissing Mork is hilarious and Shakesperean in nature. By far the best ep since the first.

Those "bl Yaoi fans" are mad, but the production is worse, to give validation to first take a photo and than second…
For fuck's sake, the script is MOCKING the shippers and making them look as ridiculous as they are in real life. It's both hilarious and sad that you're too uptight in your self-righteousness to see that. YOU must stop watching BLs.

It's pisses me off that they give validation for taking photos without any permission and on top of that post…
It pisses me off that YOU have no sense of humor and are blind to the fact that the shippers in this show are an extreme, exaggerated PARODY of real-life fujoshis. Can you really not see that? They are MOCKING shippers and fujoshis and you are unable to enjoy it because there is a huge stick up your ass. The shippers were given "the right" to take and post pics by the writers and director of the show, see how that works? They are making fun of and criticizing the people who do such things in real life. Do you actually think this episode presented shippers as people to be admired and emulated? lol
