WHATEVER you think SY is "doing" in the scenes where he is sitting on the couch, arms folded, legs crossed, shaking his foot, the fact remains that during those scenes where he is doing that, THAT IS ALL HE IS DOING. He is not flying to the moon, he is not taking a shit, he is not ironing his suit, as far as I can tell he is not using telepathy to communicate with executives who live in your head. Of that, there is no question. None whatsoever.

There is always something that can be done, even if it's just preparing for all these big-shot meetings you go on and on about. Actually, I meant my "...needed to be done" comment in jest, but the reply it elicited from you is excellent in its depth and appreciation of the story line. I think it would be a great thing, and a powerful statement against the stigma surrounding mental health care in Asia, if XS made ongoing mental health counseling and treatment a requirement for any reconciliation between him and YJ. No lay individual is qualified to "fix" a loved one's mental health issues on their own, nor should they be asked to do so. It would be like XS attempting to fix YJ's broken leg without going to the hospital.

Gotta disagree about the leads. I thought Bright was gorgeous too but his acting is so bad and so lazy that I came to dislike him as an actor/personality. And to me it is WIN who has the better looks. Different strokes...I wouldn't kick Bright out of bed either.

Techno/Kla was one of the funniest plot lines in the entire show.

I'm currently reading the novel online. Just finished the part where Pete and Ae confess a second time and kiss for a third under the tree after they haven't seen each other, talked or texted in a week or so because Ae has decided it would be best if Pete were with a girl. Now, this novel is no literary masterpiece, but I sat here in my lounge chair and sobbed like a child as I read that scene and for several minutes afterward. I was incredibly moved by where the writing took me in my mind. Wow.

As for this series, which I've seen just once and which is one of my top ten fave BLs, I want to say that for me the icing on the cake was the Techno/Kla subplot and finale. I thought it was hysterical that Kla was paying No's brother for pictures of him, and even as I watched the last couple of eps and knew heads were exploding throughout the PC/SJW Universe in regard to the shennanigans between those two, I saw some of the best comedic acting of the entire series on Techno's face as Kla gave him the false version of what had transpired between them the night before and demanded that No "take responsibility" for his actions. OMG, seriously, Gun should receive a special Oscar for that performance. I nearly wet my pants laughing.

Yeah, yeah, rape, assault, consent, booze, whatever, go watch a Disney film. Anything that can happen IRL is fair game for drama and comedy. And no one has to go to prison or die for it either, as if art's function is to teach neat, black/white morality fables to its audience.

The thing with paying No's brother for pics of him is EXACTLY the sort of thing straight boys would do regarding pics of their buddies' hot sisters. Deal with it.

Well to me, I've no doubt every modern convenience possible is tucked away ready at hand here and there, all the latest, up to the second technology possibly available is there. It's just all concealed behind cold surfaces, in drawers, hidden doors, closets, etc. the way things are in an ultra-modern house. Hmmm...I don't read it as middle class at all. To me it screams money. Lots and lots of money. Some architect designed that house with a bold statement in mind and someone commissioned the design and had it built for a fortune. It's just that I don't like the statement one bit. Watching them move around in there makes me feel cold. It's like a tomb. The icy cold tomb where SY went to store his heart after SD froze it solid with his betrayal.
