I thought part 2 had 10 episodes like part 1. I only realised after finishing episode 10 after wondering why some things weren't resolved. But it did feel like a final episode. I think the changing of the airing date confused me. I really like the Qing princess and her type of love she has for the ML. The assertive you're mine type of love. I love it. And she's beautiful, so there's that too. I now know what you all mean when you use the term "second lead syndrome." Although that term would be rare for SFL's or female support characters for obvious reasons.

Are all the episodes separate stories? So they're not connected? So the episodes aren't related to each other?

Yes exactly. And you probably already aware of any SFL's that do get involved with the ML's are mostly the toxic, obsessed psycho bitch types. They're very different from the typical kind, caring, protective SML's that stand by the FL's from beginning to end. We all know why there's a huge difference between SML's and SFL's, because female viewers prefer FL's to be surrounded by kind, supportive men, while SFL's need to be the opposite, because god forbid if the SFL is better and outshines the FL causing the ML to choose the SFL over the FL all hell would break loose.

Oh yeah, I totally agree. Also, we have to remember dramas are mainly watched by female viewers, therefore ML's will usually be prohibited from having any female characters around him except the FL. If he does, he's suddenly toxic and a red flag. Meanwhil, the FL can enjoy multiple male characters surrounding her. She's even allowed to ponder her decisions on who she'll choose, and that is considered normal, infact it's encouraged. ML with SFL, "toxic." FL with SML, "you go girl."

No problem. Even though i was referring to scenes in part 1, i understand there might be some people coming on this page before watching part 1. I didn't really think about that before commenting. I know how annoying it can be when people don't use the spoiler.

I'm on episode 13, and the ML has the opportunity to be with the princess. She's really interested in him. I hope he gets with her, i mean, the FL chose to marry another guy. Therefore, the ML should also be with someone who likes him. But i doubt that will happen. After all, MLs are prohibited from having any female characters around him except the FL. It's not a spoiler because this page is part 2, and everything i mentioned happened in part 1. There's no need to put it in capitals. I can see perfectly fine. And how am i supposed to scroll down that far back to an episode that happened ages ago? Do you realise how many comments have been posted since then? I don't have the time to be spending all day on here to try and find some comments that may or may not be here. Ok, so she might not be a SFL, but that doesn't matter. Any female character that will treat him better than the FL will do.

I just started episode 11, and she's married to another man?😱 Is that ok? I remember when part 1 was airing and after episode 10 there was outrage from viewers because of a SFL with the ML at the end of part 1. Are we forgetting the multiple SML's involved with the FL throughout part 1? And now she's married to someone other than the ML and that's ok? Not even getting a mention in the comments? Oh wow, i seriously hope the ML forgets the FL and moves on to someone better, someone who truly loves him and trusts him. The girl in the mask looks promising, i hope some romance develops between them while the FL can be miserable in her marriage to a person who took the credit for saving her. SFL let's go🙏

While i didn't skip 80% I'd say i would've skipped about 10%. It wasn't as boring as i thought, but 8 episodes for part 1 would've done the job.

I did, but not as much as i thought. But as i expected, there were a few boring scenes. 8 episodes instead of 10 would've sufficed.

Yes, it's his fault for telling lies, but he's not to blame for their separation. The FL is responsible for this. She doesn't believe or trust the person she supposedly loves. For example, let's say your partners friend comes to you and says, "Your partner is cheating on you." Do you immediately believe his words without any explanation or would you seek the truth and ask him personally without judging him before he has a chance to explain himself? Because that's what the FL did. She believes he's lying to her about saving her on the island and that he's been with other women when he was away. Instead he was protecting her and saving the country. Some things could have been avoided like the ML's friend lying to her, or the ML not revealing himself on the island, but in the end she's to blame for the separation because she doesn't trust him.

I also just finished part 1 and honestly I think the ML should be with someone better than her. That mask girl at the end looks promising.

You're right, but i think we see her feelings for him way earlier than episode 8. I'm on episode 5, and i can see her feelings but she doesn't admit it. I thought the love triangle would be worse, but so far it's nothing serious.

That seems reasonable, it's even less than halfway through the drama. Not bad.
