Is the ML the strongest character in the series? I just finished Immortal Ascension and wasn’t too impressed with the weak ML there, so I’m really hoping this drama takes a different approach.

No, nothing against the actor, just the character. I don't like how he's weak and has to rely on artifacts, elixirs, and talismans to survive.

But I'll give this story a pass if he reaches the Nascent Soul cultivator by the end of this show. But if there are more seasons, i must see him reaching immortal ascension. Otherwise, what's the point.

So now that it's finished airing, does the last 2 episodes have romance between the main leads?

I don't know what Donghua means. I'm just here for the show. But he seems weak and only cares about cultivation and himself. Not that it makes him bad, but i don't like that type of character.

That's no fun. They've taken away the best bits. An all power ML and romance. That's why all these xianxia dramas do so well. They stick to the basics. And it works. What's the point of this when there's no romance and a ML with no spiritual root and no power relying on tools. I prefer a Superman, not a Batman.

I agree. The only thing i like about this is the first 5 episodes and harem, but there's no romance, so that ends that. Do you know of any dramas like this but with a strong powerful ML with a unique spiritual root that beats all instead of this weakling ML that needs to rely on artifacts and elixirs to win?
