OT. A question to the people speaking fluent Mandarin. When we see a historical Cdrama drama where a modern-day character goes back in time hundreds or thousands of years, how do they understand and speak to each other? Hasn't the language changed over time? Maybe similar but with a different dialect. It seems they're speaking the same language to each other without any difficulty.
I must be the only one that find this extremely slow and repetitive. Felt like I was watching the same scenes…
I'm on episode 14, and I agree so far. At the moment, it's not progressing, but it's still keeping me interested. Although i have skipped some scenes, especially between the FL and SML's. But if nothing changes soon, I'll be skipping often.
Episode 13, the SML is speaking with the FL disrespecting the ML behind his back telling her "you deserve a better roomate." "He doesn’t care for you." "He pushes you around." "You should leave him." It's fine that the SML doesn't know him, so he had no idea what he's talking about, but the FL should've spoken up, and put a stop to his words and defended the ML. She was wrong in that scene. I guarantee the ML would've beaten the crap out of anyone with harsh words towards her.
i am not sure if that flashback was shown already, one of their highschool classmates confessed to him and SY…
Yes, I've seen that part, and i understand his character is like that, but i still find it hard to believe there are no SFL's consistently pursuing him even though he shows no interest in them. Then how do you explain the multiple male characters pursuing the FL? Does she show interest in them? I'm not saying that's wrong. In fact, it's actually accurate because she's a beautiful woman, so i expect her to have multiple pursuers. That's why i don't get why the ML doesn't have any SFL's after him, apart from one off scenes where we don't see them ever again after he turns them down, or the "fangirling" that we only see in the background that has no importance.
Oh brother, they showed when so many girls were fangirling him in his school, when he went to his bar and the…
Why are you triggered? You don't even get it. You don't understand my original comment, and you're throwing around words like "fangirling." Which doesn't even come close to any second leads with feelings for him. And that's my point. I'm referring to second leads with actual names who are consistently pursuing him, just like we see with multiple SML's pursuing the FL. Like i mentioned, I'm only on episode 10, so i don't know the whole story, but from what I've seen so far, it's unrealistic that he's received no attention from any SFL's. That shouldn't be hard for you to understand.
Oh brother, they showed when so many girls were fangirling him in his school, when he went to his bar and the…
You've only mentioned the step sister. Can you name any other characters that like him instead of just mentioning people? I can name at least 3 characters who like the FL and I'm only on episode 10. So there could be even more in later episodes. Do you see your logic doesn't make any sense?
He has many admirer as mentioned by his friends, just that it wasn't shown how he was being admire by other woman.
But that doesn't count because it's not shown or gone into depth like the SML's. Those female characters are not repeatedly shown to pursue or interact with him. There's a huge difference.
I'm up to episode 10, and i find it strange that the ML has no female admirers except the FL. While the FL already has 3. The ML and 2 SML's. How is it possible that no one likes him when he has that appearance and charm? It doesn't make any sense. It loses some credibility when they do this. It doesn't mean they have to make him sleep around with many women, but at least make it realistic.
Hopefully no love triangle, but I'm looking forward to this. It's been a while since I've watched a good historical/romance/fantasy. Any other recent historical romance dramas?
