despite the title this is actually kinda cute?? also im concerned how there was no lube at all during any of this…
No lube, no foreplay, apparently no condoms, and seemingly no pain. Astounding.

I am not so sure about this one. I was half-invested for most of the series, then the finale really threw me a lot of surprises,

First of all, at 1 hour, 20 it's more like 2 episodes than 1. And boy did they pack a lot into it. I bet this was written as 8 episodes but only got budgeted for 6.

But the finale felt disconnected from the rest of the series for me. Almost like a different director/editor took over. And the present day Tan Barth scenes felt more fan service than essential.

They leaned into the religion, gave us an epiphany, and threw in a love hotel. Not your average BL.

Fourth remains the cutest and most natural of the big BL names. His smile is infectious and he can really turn on the tears. I'll watch anything he does.

You lnow it has SIXTEEN episodes……. maybe some character development taking place in there! Stick with it………
Thanks, but I can tell very quickly if it's something I will enjoy, and this is just not my cup of tea. Hope you enjoy it.

I swear I've heard every line of dialogue in this series in other series, and the tropes are everywhere, You can see how the manga influenced the direction. They're cute and the chemistry is great.

Interesting premise. I like the darker, realistic side of this one, but ultimately didn't find it was as enlightening as it was trying to be. The lack of interest from one of the MCs really put a damper on the whole series. He was disinterested, and so was I. Don't think it made a compelling documentary, nor Bl series.

Despite some good cinematography and decent acting, this was pretty bad. There were so many ridiculous elements, things that just didn't make sense. Why is there a cage in the basement of the house? How did the Killer even know it was there? He doesn't gag the prisoner, but for some reason the guy never makes any noise or tries to be rescued. Why - after your friend OD's on drugs - do you set up a camera to record the next murder? Why does a cop need self-defense training? Why does a cop NOT suspect the Killer when so many clues are given? A great premise that just falls apart from all the sloppy writing. Will never watch again. Don't recommend.

Not a perfect series, but I enjoyed it for its adult themes and the great performances, especially Hori Kaito. I think Sato Yusuke is one of the most beautiful men on earth. In all honesty, I liked him more in Mr. Unlucky, but he was still very good here and their chemistry was great. The last "rivalry" was a bit much, but it also made sense for why it would infringe on their relationship, since that's how they started before they became lovers. I might watch again, but probably only the first 2 or 3 eps, because the start of this relationship was so juicy and fun.

I loved so much about this one. The very adult characters and situations, the slow/slice-of-life feeling to it, the atmosphere, the chemistry. Two moments in the finale really stood out. The scene where Kuji gives Azuma the keys to his apt was so cute, subtle, conveying so much emotion with no words. And of course, their coming out to Tamaki. Tears all around, including my house. These two actors are top notch. The confidence and ease, their naturalness, it all made these two characters come to life in such a realistic fashion. Given the nature of this series, I might not watch again, but I'm delighted to have spent time with these two and happy for their evolution.

There were cute moments, but overall I was disappointed by this one, especially because the premise was somewhat unique and adult. I just didn't buy either of their "stories" or characters and the chemistry was lacking for me. Everyone has noted the ridiculous NC scenes and fish lip kisses, but honestly those were the least problematic elements for me. Not something I will revisit and I hope they are not planning on S2, as that would be a train wreck.

That’s the whole point of the first episode, since they are pretending to be a couple there’s awkwardness…
Awkward and uncomfortable are different than boring and uninteresting.

Fantastic episode (5). Better than all the others combined. Some very strong writing in the confessional scene. The characters are so well defined and brought to life by these terrific (and gorgeous) actors. The score to this episode was incredible. It added so much to the emotions. Kudos to the composer. Excited to see them as an adult "couple" and the rivalry to come.
