A fun romance with some very appealing characters. Nothing really new here, but done well with strong performances, especially from Takamatsu Aloha. Wish we had a few more fuzzy moments, but overall an enjoyable watch.
So far... meh. The best thing about the show is the chemistry.
Progress is a bit too forced still. Thinks that over-acting is the way to go. I am interested to see how he progresses as an actor over time. Almond is great and soooooo cute.
This episode (6) felt choppy to me. There were large time jumps. It felt like they filmed twice as much as they could use, so had to cut out quite a lot to fit it to time. Maybe I'm mis-remembering the other eps, but this felt like a different director/editor.
Feels like the slightest of student films. Absolutely no character, plot or development. Just an excuse to get to shirtless boys on film. Camerawork/direction felt forced. Horrible kisses. Don't waste the 10 minutes.
I've been struggling with this one all along, but Ep 5 was pretty bad. Characters motivations did not track at all. They were flip flopping all over the place, going from content to miserable in a heartbeat. Being heartbroken one moment and horny the next. They are really rushing and it's showing the flaws all the more because of it. Oh well, not every BL can be great.
I'm not even kidding now ,that old shit is a pedo at that time my baby Akira was a minor. die you old man. i hate…
while i agree, the age/power dynamic is somewhat disturbing, he is not an OLD MAN. He is his older brother's age, so truly only a few years older than Akira.
I think it's because these characters are just a children, and those kisses are inexperienced awkward kisses where…
first kisses should be halting and uncertain and at the level of the characters' experience, and personality. but come on! my first kiss as a 16 year old did not stop at merely touching my lips against hers. At least pucker up a bit. you don't have to go open mouth, tongue kissing, but just ACTUALLY kiss.
This one is hitting just right for me. It's a bit over the top. Not my usual taste. I'm not a fan of the Xixi character. She feels the most forced of all the elements in the show, but this is a FANTASY COMEDY. I like the way they're dealing with the fantasy element. It's handled a bit differently than in others. I like the drama/mysteries behind the leads' pasts, and the troubled family dynamic. I love the setting and seeing adult stories take place in casual clothes inhabited by one of the overall best-looking casts of all time: Dad, Uncle Hua, Hong and the four leads, All shot and lit beautifully. Plus the acting is top-notch. I've read some comments about pacing, but that never even occurred to me in the First 4 eps. I thought a lot happened and was revealed and it all felt natural. I can smell more trouble ahead and I'm here for it.
I think my biggest issue with this show so far is that I'm really not gagging over yu lei and chen ke chemistry,…
for me, the actor playing yu lei is not very good. he always looks fake and like he's trying too hard, so I don't believe the chemistry between them. but that's just me.

Not sure about the second couple yet.
