Thank you. Interesting to hear the novel's differences. I can only judge the tv show. I must admit though, that I forgot the time setting of the drama, and did not take that into account. But I married into an Asian family, so I am quite familiar with the cultural differences. Thanks for your perspective.

What are you watching? I've watched hundreds of BLs and I can count about 3 with this type of story. There's no epidemic on my tv screen.

Yeah he's been there, trying to force them to do things his way, since they were young.

I understand that WQ and San Pang fear that being gay may make Yuan's life harder.... but when a confused teen (who you have ben acting as semi-guardian and quasi-uncle, alongside WQ) comes to you and bears his soul and asks for real answers.... saying You can't love him because he's WQ is NOT an answer and NO HELP at all. Try to reason with the kid, try to explain to him the challenges, maybe even say "I don't think your brother is gay", try to give him advice. Calm him down. Give him alternatives. Don't just say... we'll talk about this later... after the forced exile I am imposing on you. Unless you're going to actually help, just leave the kid alone. He made it worse, rather than better. How does that help Yuan? Every time SP comes on screen I get nauseous. I really dislike his character.

Miyata was gay in high school, and 12 years later he still has feelings for his first crush... but he's never had sex with a man before? C'mon!?! He's 30, cute and successful. I know he has low self esteem but... let's be realistic.

"Late twenties... is not an age where you can play around with love and romance." WHAT? Is there some rule about love that says you have to be over 30? BL's would not even exist if that were so.

I didn't buy sleeping with his crush, and then re-negging and saying I'm not going to date you. (First of all, he didn't ask you) If he was so unsure, then I don't think he would have taken it up the ... so quickly.

Also, Chief Editor is an a**.

I have notes for the writer, but all in all it's a decent show.

This was on hold for a while, while I looked for good subs. Finally got to finish it. Sweet, tender, heartbreaking at times. Honda Kyoya was fantastic, except for the kissing. He could barely even pucker his lips. I get it, we don't need you to search for his tonsils, but at least seem to have SOME passion for your lover. But his pain and confusion and innocence were all palpable. I enjoyed the amnesia storyline and the way it was handled. Nice to see a different kind of BL, one that acknowledges the `real struggles and issues with any couple, MM or otherwise. The smallest things can become the biggest conflicts over time, without good communication. Even working late can seem like a slight. Felt like a real queer relationship. Well shot, well scripted, very well acted (even the brother and neighbor). A good show, but not a story I will watch again.

I am obsessed with this show. The 2 leads are amazing actors. But... boxing in a loose, open, flowy sweater? C'mon costume department.

Sweet and tender, well made and well acted. Slight of story and nothing we haven't seen a million times, but all well done. Shima's shyness and trauma were a bit overwrought, but it was a different time, if only 10 years ago. Despite the slow pacing and minimal score, I fell into its rhythms quite easily and just went along with this simple love story.

Not bad, but just not connecting with this one. The acting/direction not quite strong enough to hold me. DROPPED.

Average first episode. Nice cinematography. Too much make-up on the boys. At least the night club setting is unique. Not sure about this one though. I'll give it one or 2 eps to decide.

Japanese actors are so amazing! Makoto made me fall in love with him in 28 minutes!
