Hmm. It’s hard. The issue is perception. For so long Qian and Sanpang see Yuan as Qian’s brother. That identity is stuck in their mind. To Sanpang, Yuan saying he is in love with Qian is probably a sign of mental illness 😂

Sanpang is Qian’s close friend, a part of the family. He told Qian in the office that Yuan is also his little brother. He watched Yuan and Lili grow up. He seemed to be against Yuan’s love because he knows Qian has been stressed all his life. This is like piling up more stress for him. Imagine a child you adopted as a brother saying they are in love with you romantically how is Qian supposed to take that. He is worried for Qian’s mental health.

I love your analysis. There is a mental barrier Qian has to overcome. He still sees Yuan as his brother to the extent that he doesn’t even remember they are not blood brothers. Distance is the best for both of them for now. And if Yuan comes back and still loves him, Qian will most likely realize his love is not childish admiration but real love. I love them both.

Qian’s reaction is very realistic. He is probably blaming himself thinking he didn’t do a good job raising Yuan that’s why he turned out that way. He doesn’t know how to handle Yuan’s feelings right now so he just hides away.

From the trailer when Yuan comes back his hair is parted in the middle. He looks hotter, more confident and is totally irresistible. Can’t wait for when Qian starts loving him the same way.😍

So from the trailers Sanpang and Lili will become a couple. Flashback to episode 1 where all 4 of them celebrated New Year’s Eve as a family. If keeping it in the family was a drama 🙂

Why didn’t i see the scene where Qian was sleeping in the car and Yuan was standing by the side of the window watching him sleep? From the clothes it was when they got to the river. But this scene was not shown. Was it cut out?

I can’t wait for episode 6. 🙁 I just came to the realization that i love ‘Hopeless love’ tropes where the character in love does not think his love will be reciprocated and then boom it is. BL dramas like cherry magic, old fashioned cupcake, unintentional love etc. I love the look of awe and worship the character gets when he realizes his love interest loves him back.

I agree completely. Absence will help them both. Qian to realize Yuan is not his brother but an adult male with a mind of his own and Yuan to realize that his love for Qian is real and not just hero worship.

Exactly. The younger brother in history 4 had a screw loose. The writers tried to romanticize rape. But this drama is nothing but pure love and adoration. Yuan adores Qian. He would never hurt him or force him.

I feel he is not aware. Perhaps he is aware in his subconscious that Yuan’s display of love and tenderness is weird (like sleeping wrapped around each other on the same bed) but has rationalized it on his mind. He still sees Yuan as that lonely boy needing affection.

Exactly. He acts like their father 😂 It would take some major mind shift for him to see Yuan as a lover. Yuan must feel so hopeless. I can’t imagine the joy he would feel when Qian finally accepts him. I hope this drama will show how Qian starts to develop feelings for him cos pseudo father to lover is hard.
