Just know that Zhou Yiwei and Zhang Songwen(Zhao Buyou) and Lin Jiachuan(Wan Fu) are all real life buddies from uni days and this drama is a great collaboration between them, an ode to their friendship. Zhang Songwen got this role after being hugely popular after The Knockout and I’m 100% sure Zhou Yiwei was brought into the production not just for a mere support role. He is very important in and off the drama.

Yes he’s a great actor. I first know him from Winter Begonia and his role was already memorable in my mind and then along Season came. Omg he’s SO creepy that I was scared of him 😂

I like the whole family. They’re all kinda weird but talented and close to each other. Only the father is missing most of the time. I hope they show more of him.

I’ve been waiting for this drama ever since Zhang Songwen was filming this drama in Zhouzhuang & I am not disappointed at all. It’s everything I want it to be plus I love this genre. I’m also happy to see Hao Fushen again after Hikaru no Go.

So old actors cannot have their own dramas? The young ones are there alright. Just not the leads and that is fine. I love the ‘old’ actors.

He’s good but he’s being typecast as a bad guy so there’s no element of surprise there.

It’s ok I’m discussing mothers drama with some of my moots on Twitter and they’re also on the latest episode & frustrated about the same things. I will still continue to watch coz I like the CP and S1 but gotta admit I’m disappointed with the writing.

I’m on Ep 9 & I’m starting feel more and more disappointed with the S2 writers for making Shen Yi not just a genius artist but also a psychic and psychologist 🙄 and Du Cheng into merely a sidekick.

That’s how I feel abt S2 and Du Cheng. I miss the S1 writers for real.
