I suspected his wife, ML’s sister also involved as he was talking about no matter what’s her mistakes, they…
When you said XTR did you mean Xiao Ruotong? If yes yeah I’m disappointed at her. She basically did nothing but cry. It’s hard to blame her though because she like GYZ were never trained for active espionage work. They’re just scholars/rich kids who believed in the CPC’s ideology. I hate the sister more in fact, she isn’t without fault either but had been blaming her bro without being supportive at all.
A lot of ppl guessed that too 🤣 We’re just confirming our suspicion. Now I’m curious what’s recorded…
I believe that referred to her not reporting immediately to her superior that she knew ZZF’s wife and went to her house before. She will be punished for that, and that’s what hubby meant abt facing it together.
A lot of ppl guessed that too 🤣 We’re just confirming our suspicion. Now I’m curious what’s recorded…
Yup bro in law must’ve held a grudge on the father for hating him, so it’s easy to sacrifice dad. If Gu Yizhong dies too, his wife(which means he too) would inherit the family wealth & he’s in dire need of money for his son.
I think GYZ’s sister already knew that her husband is the one who betray🥹 i think her husband is no8 . That’s…
I was abt to ask you how did you know the ending until you said it’s your assumption🤣. I really don’t like the sister. I also felt that she has some inkling abt her husband being Cell 8 but instead of doing the right thing, she kept accusing her bro.
I just found out while browsing XHS that Zhou Zhifei and Mr Li are inspired by real historical people - Hu Junhe and Li Shiqun. I could find some info on Li Shiqun on Goggle but not Hu Junhe except this one that I believe is machine-translated from Chinese: https://inf.news/en/history/006865d7f619ae1b2ab605a2325c2901.html Quite interesting for people who's interested in this part of the Chinese history.
Papa 😭 I’m so sad papa had to get off screen. He’s such a joy to watch. Brilliant acting from Zhang Fengyi and I was teary-eyed too when he had to say goodbye to his son that way.
I started watching upto like 20 minutes but I'm kind of on edge for the director, how could they even torture…
I disagree that ‘all the blessings for espionage drama went to WoF only’. There are many Republican Era espionage dramas that have high ratings of 8.2-8.5 for eg. like The Disguiser, The Rebel, Killer and Healer. I think it’s still too early to judge this drama. I personally like the pace and acting.
Don't understand the low rating at all! I just finished ep.9 and it has been really good! This is a heavy drama…
I think a lot of international viewers don’t like Republican Era dramas(generally speaking) and many don’t understand the factions during Republican Era when Japan invaded. It took me watching quite a few of these dramas and reading up on history to understand the 4 factions and I’m still learning. I guess not many ppl are that interested. As for me I like this type of drama and I personally would rate this higher than what it has now.
Suzhou is a UNESCO World Heritage city; one of the most gorgeous and culturally significant historical cities…
Yes I’m actually quite happy that no one is portrayed as a super spy who does no mistake and very heroic like many Rep. Era dramas. They’re just experienced and inexperienced.
I'm here for Du Ling and Joseph, but I'm about disappointed due to the characters of Gu Yi Zhong I feel bad for…
Gu Yizhong was just a rich kid who got inspired by the Communist ideals. He wasn’t a trained spy so if he’s so experienced from te he get-go then it’s no believable. Give him some time, I think after today’s episodes he will be different.
Quite interesting for people who's interested in this part of the Chinese history.
