Ok if he really didn’t know what kind of man Ouyang Ke is then that makes sense although Huang Rong has told him many times what kinda person he is.

But he made a promise so he expected Ouyang Ke to win. That means he is ready to hand her to him. I couldn’t understand why he would do that to his beloved daughter unless it’s like what PeachBlossomgoddess said below.

I wonder if Huang Yaoshi would really let Huang Rong marry Ouyang Ke if Guojing loses. He knows what kinda person Ouyang Ke is. Would he really let his daughter marry that lecherous lil shit?

We really gotta put aside the cast comparison to enjoy the drama fully 🤣 I did that and am enjoying the drama for the story.
