That scene between Mr Liao and Mr Bai at the latter’s deathbed was so profound and is one of my fav Cdrama scenes of all time.

Gosh the anxiety and panic I felt when they wanted to kill Chang papa & Yu’er! Please kill off Wang Tiangui & his butler.

Ah! I can’t wait to catch up on the episodes. Every episode kept me on the edge actually. So many things are happening to our ML.

I’m on Ep 9 & I think that’s some great acting from Li Wantang actor(he was great in The Long River too). His eyes were saying that there’s a lot more that we don’t know about him and his connection to GPY. I’m so curious to know now.

I don’t wanna pay for express when I’m already paying for VIP. They’re releasing the episode one by one now & the last ep will be tomorrow 😅

I like that this season highlights the women’s strengths and they’re not just background characters but equally important in case-solving.

I don’t disagree with LLF. I have a problem with the way he spoke harshly to SWM and YT. By this time, they’re considered family. SWM never spoke harshly to LLF, prideful or not.

I was so mad at LLF for speaking so harshly to SWM & YT but the moment he apologized I instantly forgave him 😪

I’ve always thought that the writer wrote a version of himself as Su Wuming 😂. He’s also the one that people here said is an expert in Tang Dynasty right?

The court politics in this season is inevitable. It’s always been the underlying cause of things that happened in the previous seasons. In S2 it’s becoming apparent and S3 it’s all out in the open. I wish they could explain a bit more on the historical characters and events in Tang Dynasty as they explore the cases too but then again, I was reminded that the drama is made for their domestic Chinese market & not international market in mind and these characters and historical events are already well-known in China. Explaining might seem like a waste of drama time or even insulting, as if their people didn’t already know.

I do remember! I too didn’t like beasts in the previous seasons and in this one when it appears I was like “okayyy I know you guys love beasts so bring it on” 🤣
