What a delicious drama!!

What a delicious pleasure. When you have a good production and good actors, everything else is secondary. However, in this case, not only are the production and main leaders good, but also the screenplay, secondary characters, and music are good, resulting in a lovely drama.

There is no need for extraordinary actions; only tiny, real, human moments to capture attention and show real love in probably one of the hardest moments in China’s history. Despite edulcorating the history, under the lines you can appreciate a subtle criticism of that period, which is very well received from the outside.

Overall, a delicious drama that I won’t get tired of watching and won’t get old over time. One of my favourite dramas, no doubt.

Toxic love, gratuitous wickedness, and repetitive script.

Bad boy meets good girl. Nothing original in the sea. Since Rebel without a cause, the pattern has been used in so many films and dramas. But in this case, ML is not only rebellious, but also rude and arrogant. Even after what happens to his family or to the 3 years in prison, he behaves exactly the same as before. There are no regrets, or a different attitude toward the FL, friends, or colleagues. He is the same. Seems a privileged intelligence gives the right to behave badly with the inferiors (for him: all except him).

FL is a nice girl who seems attracted to ML's intelligence. Her role could be even worse and more naive, but she defends her own capacities and intelligence. So, in that sense, we can save her. However, she believes everything that ML says or does. She doesn’t need explanations, nor does she need to be asked for her opinion. If he says or does anything, she believes him and follows him as a puppet. Even when he screams at her or defies her parents. If that is not a toxic love and a big red flag….

Her mother is especially snobbish and square-minded, but that doesn’t justify how he treats her parents. Even when we know he does what he does for her best interest. Who is he to decide for her?

Mention apart from the the 2 seconday male roles (Old Gao and Fang Zhijing). What on earth is someone going to believe such a level of hate and at such a young age? Nobody has suffered a bullying guy at school or university, or a jerky colleague? Does that justify even the intention of murder or the willingness to imprison a person? Old Gao has a serious problem of complex insecurities that made him absolutely crazy. No matter how the ML is, his attitude and actions cannot be justified or redeemed in the last two episodes. He needs psychiatric help.

In 36 episodes, everything is the same: bad guys, a good girl, and her nice friends. Well, I want to mention the role of her man friend: Tian Xiu Zhu. I imagine his name is Tian (Heaven) because indeed he is the only “angel” in the drama.

Love? I don’t see any love. Despite the fact that there are people like the main characters in the world, we can not romanticize them. Or at least, if we do, let’s do because they change and show love and mercy. One last episode doesn’t solve the previous ones.

I didn’t like. In fact, this drama made me feel uncomfortable. However, I waited until the end to see if there was any change, and endured all episodes because of the great performance of all actors and actresses. They were superb. Specifically: Arthur Chen, Zhao Zhi Wei and Zhang Jing Yi.

Voice over-actor, why?!

It was my first CDrama set during the Republican period, and at first it took me some time to get into the history.

From the middle of the series onward, it becomes increasingly interesting, making it hard to stop.

The plot is the best part. Very original and interesting. Male actors are all superb. I liked all of them, from the ML to secondaries like Tan Si or Old Fu.

There are many visual effects, and the war scenes are very well done. Big resources of personnel and materials.

I’d like to put a better score, but some issues don’t add up:
- Why use a voice-over actor? The voices used are not credible and annoying. The main actors have very beautiful voices, so why use studio voices? Childish and absurd voices for women, and voices that don’t match the mouth in general. It doesn’t give credibility to the performance, not to mention the voices used for foreign actors that make them look like idiots.
I’d like to ask the platforms to re-launch the series without a voice-over actor. I’m sure it will make the show deserve 10.
- Apparel. A lot of resources in personnel, arms, and scenery… but no budget for proper clothing? Only for the military, and in the last episodes, you can see good clothing. At the beginning, it is ridiculous, especially for foreigners who look like clowns or were taken from Disneyland. The FL wears almost the same clothing at the beginning, and it doesn’t look realistic to keep the coat and the hat at home.
- FL despiste other comments, I don’t feel any chemistry between the ML and her. There is more chemistry between the ML and Second M. I feel she looks the same in every scene. No matter the death or love.

Anyway, I liked it so much. From the 10th episode, I ate it. And I’d like to watch it again if they delete the voice-over.

An authentic gem!! My favorite Cdrama ever! Very beautiful script and production, the scenes are well-crafted and beautiful, Shanghai looks like a fairy place. And the music is one of the best soundtracks. Actors are superb! The chemistry is formidable, the characters are well developed, and their kisses and passion scenes are real and mature, not like other dramas that look childish. Even clothing is beautiful!

Boring to death!

I watched it because of the good reviews and the 2 actors. My first drama with Dilraba was “Love in the Turquoise Land,” and I liked her so much. I knew YangYang a long time ago, and apart from his undoubtedly attractive face, I like his acting.

But I can only say: what a waste of time!! In the last episodes, I used the fast-forward button because I couldn't stand it anymore.

There is no plot. Just 2 people who meet again, fall in love, and whose daily lives unfold. But without good photography, a good script, or good acting. We assume their love is “true” because of the childish voices of the FL and the grimace of the ML. Of course, you will not find it in their kiss scenes. They couldn’t be more false and cold.

The only purpose of this drama, I imagine, is to praise the Chinese Aerospace Academy and their recent achievements. It’s just an exercise of nationalism and insists on the right virtues: family, humility, solidarity… Otherwise, It has no sense to film this drama.
