Even if in the end, Hae In lives, and Hae In and Hyun Woo fall deeper in love and marry each other again seems…
I will mention that my parents divorced and married each other again and stayed married to the end of their lives. So, the second time around can truly be better than ever.
I just watched episode 8 (the last released by Netflix as of this writing). No spoilers. I will just say that I have upgraded my Netflix rating to 2 thumbs up from 1 thumb up. I don't give 2 thumbs up easily, which means I find Queen to be in the top tier of K dramas, of which there are relatively few in my book.
I will mention that I am not explicitly a fan of Kim Soo Hyun, but I have nothing against him either. But he probably has the largest share of my 2-thumb rated dramas of any actor.
I also upgraded my opinion of Kim Ji Won's attractiveness. I used to think she is attractive but not remarkably so. After 8 episodes of Queen, I now think she is not merely very attractive, but beautiful. When she has a closeup and the camera angle is straight on or somewhat off of straight on, she is stunning. The side is not her best angle, but her straight on or a bit off of straight on more than makes up for any flaws in her bad angle.
I think your taste is changing as well..which is normal..I also used to think that Yoona from SNSD is way way…
IMO, while I think there are plenty of women technically prettier than Ms. Kim, I think Ms. Kim's face is more memorable than most (i.e. her face is distinctive), including most that are technically prettier than she.
In Doona, I think there were some very subtle yet very sexy moments. Maybe it is just me, but I found the scene where Doona had the ML put socks on her really sexy.

Roles certainly matter. In "Descendants of the Sun", a military hairstyle and uniform just aren't flattering to Ms. Kim, IMO. That is where I first saw her and wasn't impressed by her looks.
I agree. Why is it so hard for MyDramaList to get a good photo of whom I think is the world's most beautiful actress? She is stunning in pretty much every closeup in "My Demon".
I used to find Kim Ji Won just moderately attractive, but now I think she is stunning. I don't think it is merely my tastes changing. I think she is actually becoming more attractive as she ages.
KYJ is the one who introduced me to the Kdrama world, and I can't thank her enough for it. Every time she pops…
My daughters are big into K culture. They are the ones that got me into K dramas. I spent a year or so in Korea. I used to tell them not to expect common Koreans to look like K drama actors. I mentioned to them that in our local K grocery, I have only seen one person over several years that is so pretty that she looked like she stepped out of a K drama.
I do agree with you about KYJ. She is other worldly beautiful. I think she is a great actress too. She should be having been an actress nearly her whole life. She seems to have successfully made the transition to adulthood, unlike many US child actors.
I am not a fashion person at all, but it is hard not to notice IU's outfits and how great she looked in them AND how appropriate they are to the story. I had commented elsewhere that the designers should be giving IU a commission as I expect their sales to have increased with HDL.
I felt that so! I am beeing honest but the ML is too far one of the worst actors in k-dramas and Suzy the opposite.…
Suzy is the FL in a K-drama that I think is among the best of all time, "While You Were Sleeping". Suzy does have a je ne sais quoi that sets her apart from all of the rest. Somehow, her flaws are her assets. For example, I think her minor overbite makes her more attractive and distinctive, IMO, than she would be with perfectly straight teeth.
Agree - this drama has got more depth than any other 16-ep k dramas of recent times. Not your usual mindless drama…
I think there is a place for the mindless K-drama, as you seem to also. Sometimes I want some mindless fun. Personally, I find the mindless K-drama much more entertaining than the common mindless American TV show. Just my personal taste.
I plan to watch Doona! again. For one, chazerb points out some things I missed. Secondly, I find myself going through some Doona! withdrawal pains. Apparently, I became slightly addicted to it and need a hit. ;^)
I was watching Dr. Romantic 2 & I jus want to say WOW, she's so breathtakingly beautiful!!
I just finished Sh**ting Stars. With every closeup of LSK, I always thought, "what a stunningly beautiful woman." After seeing your post, Dr. Romantic 2 might be my next watch.
She really is beautiful and classy looking although in Call It Love you would never know that.
One of the things funny about Weightlifting Fairy is she was supposed to be frumpy, and she did mostly accomplish that, but you can tell there was a beautiful woman in there.
