Both films are submerged in mystery around a serial killer. They are both WhoDunIt? suspense mysteries.
Both are about the legendary Hua Mulan.
Psycho dude kidnaps a girl he's obsessed with and keeps her prisoner in his house. Both Japanese. Both crazy af.
Chick is kidnapped by a psycho who is infatuated with her and held captive.
A dude is compelled for various reasons to become a call boy and give pleasure to women.
Similar because of the domestic violence theme. It is on a much smaller scale in Wandering (2022) though.

Same exact stories. Kichiku (2017) is a remake of The Demon (1978).
Children are abandoned/neglected by their family. A precocious boy must adapt and learn to survive.
These films remind me of eachother because of the strained but loving relationship between a young boy and his guardian.
Plots are very similar. Violence and school bullying lead one young man to use his smarts to outwit the bullies and get revenge.
