Qian Zhao died from saving the emperor. Sun Lang from pretty much shielding YSS, when he was trying to kill Beipan general. But.. Yuan Lu's and YSS death... I felt was unnecessary. Like why didnt Yuan Lu bring enough medicine. Why didn't he break like YSS told him to before he left. And YSS could have gotten on the horse with Chu Yue and head back to the gate, which was what he was planning to do at first.

Some are speculating that Chu Ye was hallucinating. As much, as I don't want the leads to be dead. It logically, makes the most sense. NZY was stabbed and Ruyi blew up. Even if Ruyi some how managed to escape before that blow up. It doesn't make sense NZY being alive.

They can make a spin off where they do. Theres been many dramas where the main couples got married but did not love each other at first.
