i know I'll break down if I saw my mom being treated like that. that will really be my breaking point, and eun gyeol's scene just hit so hard. i cried for his eomma with him. he is so strong and so wonderfully raised by two precious ppl.
how many times did they make us cry today after yday's wonderful epi and today's sweet trip moments. how will our hearts even survive the next ep?
Does it change to a full-blown thriller in later episodes? if you remember when? I am at Ep 3 and Ff all the heavy…
yes and no. don't remember exactly when it becomes more serious, but it does continue that theme of mixing rom com and thriller plot. it does become not as funny as at the start. but around ep 12/13 ig it goes into proper mystery solving and rescue. I remember more screen time for jisoo and the other cops towards the end (although they were the most inept set of cops you would find lol)
I personally liked both aspects of it. the thriller elements were really well done unlike some other romcoms which are essentially thrillers in disguise but half ass both. this drama got it almost right in balancing the two.
again as most dramas in this genre go, it's really fun as long you don't work up your brain too much lol. just keep your disbelief suspended and have a good time haha.
either way this drama is ICONIC. it set so many trends including the long coats. the turtle necks. the cinematography ost. it kickstarted our kdrama trend in more ways than one. wish I was there when this became a phenomena and could watch it in real time.
best OST hands down. found the last few episodes illogical and dragged out, but phenomenal acting by all the actors.…
also what happens to the goblin eventually? he is still immortal. all his loved ones left or are leaving. eun tak has just 3 lives left including the one shown in the end. what happens to him after this? his punishment goes on forever? i mean, I accepted him choosing to not move on even after the sword was pulled and being called back to this world by eun tak. but he shouldn't even have been an immortal in that case. there are many illogical and very convenient plot points in the drama such as this.

although last episode confused me a bit. why did sunny leave? is it as goblin said 'she didn't wanna see him this life, that's the greatest punishment she could give him?' also how did eun tak remember everything, but not sunny and Wang yeo in their new lives? they didn't drink the tea either. also, who was the car mechanic goblin send the president's way after that Sandwich scene? what's the point there? was dweok ha the one in the car?
best OST hands down. found the last few episodes illogical and dragged out, but phenomenal acting by all the actors. it's a fascinating show to watch nevertheless all its faults. the age gap was weird. bromance between reaper and goblin were the best part of the show. really liked sunny's character too.
CHK and Eun soo are such amazing actors honestly. they are so young but the way they emote with their eyes and convey the longing, the apprehension, the hesitance of their characters - even some seasoned actors would fall short. heck, just a look at CHK's face and it's a tell all! see what we are seeing, Cheong Ah!
all their scenes (whatever little we get) are the best part of the epi for me. there is just genuine tenderness in their scenes together, and oh with that beautiful OST playing in the background?! plsss! i want more of them.
"i'd like to dedicate this song to a girl" idk why but i feel like he was thinking of cheong ah, not sekyeong
"...who was the reason this band was formed" definitely sounds like sekyeong too. but like wasn't Cheong ah and that band tshirt she gave to SK the start of everything?!
laughs. tears. relief. sums up this episode for me. idk what's in store for these characters going forward, but writers let eun gyeol have a person on his side of the world pls.
