Yes the suspension of belief and logic is a necessary requirement. One prime example is the evil doers getting away with all sorts of crimes by simply denying they had anything do with it. Everyone including K-drama police are powerless after a strong denial. However, denials almost never work for completely innocent people. Completely innocent people get fired and detained based on mere accusations.
