They should have ended the scene with the confession. That would have been perfect. Jae In not providing an answer was more than enough suspense to carry over to the next episode. Gi Chan's showing up was unnecessary and ruined the scene. Plus, it was really out of place and made no sense for him to even be there. But be that as it may. They could have always had him show up after hearing all the commotion with the police and all when they replayed it in the next episode.

Sometimes the directors/writers go a tad too far trying to keep interest going, and this was one of those cases.

In this case, her pushing back is perfectly understandable with all that is going on. Plus, she needs time to process this. It did happen right after someone tried to drag her into a van after all.

At least he left no doubt or confusion about where he stands. Now, a decent guy waits and lets her take her time.
