I agree with your points above. And yes GH should have told her mother sooner, especially that’s she’s decided…
About him not showing he has money. I am not sure if it was an actual plot hole or he didn't want show he had money to keep the ruse up with grandma about his ID as Holly.
The FL's mom cannot be that dense she can't see the kid is missing his not-so-responsible mom (who is a doctor by the way) and is acting out. It's not HD's fault and her son is about as helpful as a teapot full of holes in the situation. Even his own kid at that age can tell how useless and lazy the guy is.
So, DS being Holly is messing with MG's plan to replace him as head of the company so he may get ruthless now. He doesn't know about the baby yet and he has to tell the Chairwoman he is marrying Angry Kang. I can't stand his father, and I wonder how much MG knows about his father's interference with DS' mom.
It was not MG's mom's place to tell GH's mom about her pregnancy and that's why I was disappointed GH didn't confide in her mom in the first place. Keeping secrets from people who should know the information never works out well in K-dramas and also every time some third party spills the tea first.
I also wish GH's stupid dad would tell Audrey what happened with her husband's death so she can have something to fight back with. He probably killed him by accident responding to a call. I hope he wasn't drunk driving at the time or anything like that. Audrey needs to stop running. DS finds out he is not going to let her just leave him again.
I don't know how the DS will react to the pregnancy but I bet he tries to protect her rather than get angry at her. Of course, he is going to have to deal with Angry Kang and MG.
Still don't know why they chose "My Merry Marriage" as the English title of this drama. Maybe it will make sense at some point.
everyone sitting around talking while she does all the work
They were all sitting around backstage at the show talking about how GH was working her butt off. Not one of them offered to help or even find her to see if she needed any help.
If you are talking about Jina, that is how all these dramas are written.
Yep. And no matter how terrible or despicable they are and act they rarely face any consequence. Out of 120 to 132 episodes of acting out they might at most get 10 seconds of scolding in the very last episode.
The GB era of raising his son himself, is over right? He’s already made the little boy HD’s to take care of?I…
Yeah, it looks like he would have done a bang up job on his own when he can't be bothered to discipline the kid when he has back up. I thought he was showing some growth, but no. He is going right back to his giving as little effort as possible mode.
Well, looks like Audrey is growing a spine finally. I am sick of the treatment she has been getting from the Chairwoman and the stupid MG's father with no pushback. Hopefully, she will ask the GH's dad for help.
I was proud of GH for sticking up for herself and her baby. She will not buy into the guilt trips and threats. I wish she had told her mom first though because it looks like the MG's mom will break the news with selfish intent.
the side story with hongdan and her husband is very tiring - all the players involved , [except the kid] , are…
I found it pretty absurd for the bio-mom to attempt to guilt trip the doctor about the trials of being a single parent when that was entirely her choice by not telling him of the existence of the child in the first place. I know she was getting defensive because he was talking about keeping the kid, but that was the wrong and very weak defense.
Regarding tax evasion, I cannot believe any country would have an inheritance law like this one since most people trying to evade taxes this way are already wealthy. The already wealthy would have little incentive to declare an inheritance. The wait of 15 years would be a walk in the park for people who already have money.
I don’t know why they continue to write the Chairman so unevenly. He could have been proud of his stepson for…
The Chairman lived with his stepson for quite a long time. The stepson worked at his company for quite some time. The Chairman got to start his company with the stepson's grandfather's money. He has pretty much no affection for the stepson.
The Chairman even told his bio-son he didn't really care that he was his father when he first found out he was. You are right was also extremely cold to Bong Hui when they first reconnected. Now he likes her and his bio-son.
Agree with all of that other than the MuRim comments. It would make sense for him to be saying me me me as he's…
Tae Ung has no experience in fashion and no experience leading a team. Everyone at that company has to know he is a nepo baby and was not hired because he has any experience.
There have been several misfires by the writers in this otherwise pretty decent drama:
1. Dam Rim's hard crush on Tae Ung was unnecessary, frustrating, a waste of time and everyone knew it would go nowhere. Finally, it added nothing to the story.
2. Mi Yeong and Gi Dong's budding relationship has been depicted as really immature for their ages and both having been married before.
3. This latest attempt to tie the Chairman and FL's mother together is not working at all. Tae Ung was himself abandoned. He knows his bio-father whom he is just getting to know will easily abandon an entire family if it suits him. It makes no sense he would even risk that for the mother figure in his life until he has a lot more trust in his bio-dad.
The guy is a complete loser, punk and feeling sorry for himself. He wouldn't even let HD speak her mind. He is making these decisions on his own. Now his kids and HD are going to suffer for it. HD doesn't even have a support system and he pretty much cut off a chance for her to have one.
He is talking about he is going to raise the kid. How, by shutting down his clinic and going to work for a hospital were he will have almost no time to spend with the kid because he will be working long hours? How is going to have time for the other kid living in a different household. His thought process is wacked.
