Even though some situations in the show and episode are unrealistic. I loved this episode since we FINALLY got SeanBlack. OffGun will always be unmatched in terms of chemistry. I hope Gun gets well soon 😪
I like all 3 couples. But FahThorn is my ultimate couple. There have been sooooo many BLs with 2 people who grew up together and fell in love once they got older. I'm so glad we don't see Thorn constantly pining after Fah. Or Fah being mean or homophobic towards Thorn when confronted with his feelings towards Thorn. Watching Fah's realization throughout episode 5 and then the moment when it finally clicked and Fah just accepted it, was incredible.
And Thorn is so comfortable with their relationship and expects to always be taken care of by Fah, because thats how it's always been. At this point he doesn't even realize that Fah is in love with him. Even though literally everyone around them sees it.
Knowing what's coming since I saw the trailers is making the slow pace that much more enjoyable. They don't have to rush a confession because they've been together for more than 10 years. I love this show!
I could write a book on how much I adore this show!! Every week it gets better and better. The calm subtly of everything reminds me of Japanese BLs and l find myself smiling the entire time I watch an episode.
So many BLs would have handled these relationships differently. No screaming fan clubs/effeminate guys chasing the couples or constantly posting pictures of them. No evil women trying to tear them apart. No random/confusing side stories, that waste time and take away from the main stories. Thorn isn't a helpless child who needs to be recused by Fah. Saen isn't being overbearing to the point of making Aii uncomfortable. Vee isn't forgetting about his sister's relationship and is being upfront about what he wants from Dome. It's all a breath of fresh air.
The entire production team and actors should be applauded. This is a great show. If it had a bigger distribution, I'm sure fans would quickly fall in love with it.
I'll come back once it's over because the 1st two episodes aren't doing it for me. I'm not gonna judge the actors or production, but I also won't make excuses for recent K BLs not being very good.
Yes, Korea isn't gay friendly. Yes, it's a small production with a small budget. Yes, they're trying. But K BL isn't really a new thing, there have been strong BLs coming out of Korea for at least 15 years. These films often had shorter run times, but they told compelling stories. 2020 was a great year for K BL. But for the most part 2021 and 2022 have been lacking. Strongberry can tell a great story in less than 10 minutes. If the stories are strong the audience will grow. If they aren't people will tune out.
Overall, I'm not expecting any show to be perfect. But I came here for vampires (I love vampires) and this is 1/4 of the way over and I feel pretty much nothing for the characters.
The 1st season covered a horrible but real situation that most BLs and their audiences often ignore. The 2nd season took this situation made it even more glaring how horrible the situation was and then failed to provide a resolution. Sure there was a happy ending, but "love wins" is not the appropriate conclusion for this based on the subject matter. It's great they were in love, but there are other things to be concerned about here.
They shouldn't have bothered to make a sequel if they were going to gloss over the real issues for a rushed and simplified ending. It all felt unearned and underwhelming.
Also, Thai reporters ask hard and direct questions. Everything about that press conference sums up why this season was not good.
Easily one the best BLs I've ever seen, until episode 5. I loved how much it focused on the climax emotions of the characters. And how realistic and relatable those emotions were.
Bas and Tarn deserved better. Hoon is a great brother. The chemistry between the leads is off the charts.
It reminds me a lot of older BLs which in some ways added to its beauty, but in other ways reminded me why I don't rewatch older BLs. Hours of grief and despair for seconds of happiness.
This would have been a fine short film, but 6 increasingly long episodes made it a chore to finish. The actors are probably nice people, but every line felt like an unrehearsed script read. Even worse, the writing was poor and boring that it kinda felt like doing math homework. TV should not feel like homework! I'm sure there are BL fans who love math. I'm just not sure that even they would enjoy this.
I really tried, but I can't. The 1st episode wasn't good, the 2nd episode is worse. I appreciate low budget shows and new actors, but with a story so thrown together, I can't be bothered to waste the time. I'm going to rewatch the newest episode of You're My Sky, it's a million times better than this.
I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. The story was pretty condensed but over all I think it worked well. Bas was the one cared about the most. Even though the situation was truly awful, I'm glad someone told this story. I can only imagine how many other actors this has happened to.
I'm going to watch the sequel, but I hope there are no cars scenes!
Wow, that was the most boring thing I've seen in a LONG time. I stayed for PhuKao but even they were below average by BL standards. I'm not sure why the script was dry, bland and uninteresting, but this show was not good. It kinda felt like it was written for a very young audience and no one felt comfortable expressing any romantic emotions. It's hard have good things to say about a BL where the best couple never even kisses each other. I'm confused about why this even got made. I only made it through this because of fast forward and the 2x speed button.
