You make a good point. I've never seen an interview or social media post from either actor saying that they don't feel comfortable kissing. It could be that their management companies or the company that made the series did not want much skinship. IMO the romantic chemistry was lacking, but that could also be blamed on the director.

Since Machida Keita has done 18+ content in straight productions, I'm guessing that's part of how people concluded that he didn't feel comfortable this time because it's a gay relationship and the rest of us just went along with that assertion. But you're right we don't know.

That's how I feel too. I really don't want to drag the show. The premise is great and the characters are likable. But there is a point where audiences stop watching. And when that happens, the short term gain some of these companies experienced making these mini-series will be over. If too many series leave audiences thinking "that could have been good but...", then people really will tune out.

They might, but most BL sequels are worse than the original season. That includes Color Rush 2.

I've never seen two characters in a BL that exist just to have sex, until I watched this series. It feels like a long joke everytime Long and Joke are on camera. Two seconds of "character development" and sex scenes is an odd writing choice!

This seems to have a plot which is rare in MFlow Entertainment series. Hopefully they make sure the cast attend acting classes BEFORE they start shooting. But I'll give it a chance, it may turn out to be watchable.

We've reached the half way point and it feels like it just started (because it literally just started a week ago). This is a webtoon that's 48 chapters summed up in 2 hours of screen time. And at this point, I can't really get invested in the story partly because of the pacing and partly because it will be over in an hour.

I'm going to accept that KBLs with extremely short run times will always be lacking in some ways. But I'm kind of over giving all these series a pass by saying "they don't have the budget to make it longer". I've seen no proof of that, great low budget series/movies get made all the time. It's possible if you spend the money the right way. But most of these companies are just churning out series to make money and most of these short series get re-edited into a movie, so they make even more money.

The show is fine, but I'm sure most people will forget about it weeks after it's over. Unlike something like Blueming that aired all the episodes in one night, but told a full and complete story.

I liked the 1st episode a lot. It's always nice to see BLs in realistic office settings. Moon Ji Yong did a great job in Once Again and both actors did a good job in this episode. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

There have been lots of KBLs that started good and had crappy endings this year, but not this one. It was wonderful from start to finish. The ending was EXACTLY what I was hoping for and now all I need is a season 2. I hope everyone is watching on the Strongberry youtube channel!

I'm absolutely loving everything about this series. I'm sad it's so short though.

All the momentum left the series for me when they switched to Dew's world. Everyone there except for Aun's friend is awful. The flashbacks made me dislike Mint, having her be the reason Mum and Dew didn't meet in Mum's world made me dislike her even more. Idk many people who watch BLs to see one of the MC's sister's obsession with the other MC, it's an odd writing choice that I hope they move on from quickly. I prefer series where the only woman that has anything to do isn't the character I dislike the most, but I guess we can't always get what we want!

I hope they spend most of the rest of the series in Mum's world, because I know I'll end up fast-forwarding if they keep going back to Dew's and unlikeable characters I've seen dozens of times before.

The comments do a great job of summing up all the flaws with this show. I sat through episode 5 irritated, wondering why I hadn't dropped this, then I read the comments and found out episode 6 is worse. I planned to finish it because it's so short and there isn't much on now, but I'm not invested in anything, so I give up.

There have been some really good KBLs that had substance and weren't just "cute" (whatever that means), but too many are lacking in ways that really matter when it comes to creating an interesting or compelling tv show. I'm tired of companies taking decent source material, condensing it into 8-10 very short episodes that offer no time for character or plot development and expecting BL audiences to enjoy it. It's a waste of time and doesn't help KBL grow or progress in any real way. DROPPED!

This is the Domundi series that I'm most excited about in 2023. The trailer looks really good.

Because I'm happy for MaxNat finally getting the lead roles in a series, I'll add this to my hate-watch list. Hopefully it's better than it seems based on the synopsis.

Different cultures/countries have different standards of what is acceptable on tv. Webtoons have different standards which is why they are able to go further.

Right. This is one of the reasons why most of the great K webtoons will never have good live action versions. The studios and actors aren't gonna go further than a bland kiss. *sigh*

Exactly. Usually special episodes are underwhelming. But I think in this case, if done right, it could wrap things up in a satisfying way.

I'm slightly disappointed with the ending. All I wanted was for Nhai and Nan to join forces and take down the mom, but the writers couldn't even bother. This was never good, but it was always harmless, mindless and something to watch on Mondays.

I know a lot of people hated it, but Ai and Nhai always communicated, didn't wait until the end to get together, there were no evil ex-girlfriends, no failed attempts at "BDSM", no obsessed fandoms that got too much screen time, no random time jumps and no "I'm going to study aboard so we have to break up". For all those reasons, I thought this was fine. I'll forget it quickly, but it never made me angry.
