Luckily after the unnecessary scenes from the episode 6, we've seen less of YQ's childhood friend.

Gong Jun has no foundation in realistic dramas. So, taking on a mid-budget/low-key project from a small company is a good start to avoid pressure. This drama was filmed 3 years ago.

I think Dan Qing is an undercover agent. They told Ye Qian her real indentity in that meeting.
