he didn’t push her away to date another woman. he pushes her away (in the novel) because he doesn’t want her to get mixed up in the shady business he is in. she would be used against him. he wants the best for her. Is he not allowed to date other people? they were separated for 6 years… both hurt in their own ways but he never expected to see her again and be in his life. It would be different if they were together and he cheated on her, but that’s not the case. many people are in love with others and can’t be with them for whatever reason and they move on for a variety of reasons— companionship, sexual release etc… life is not black and white. People need to get over this idealised version of love, where two people live like monks because of their undying love for the other. it happens, but it’s rare. just because they were with other people doesn’t taint the love they have for each other, it’s just life. 🤷🏻‍♀️

yeah, they were in a casual relationship but she wanted to pin him down for life and he wasn’t having it.

I was the same but I caved the other day and jumped right in. absolutely loving it!

One of the worst shows I’ve ever watched. The most confusing, nonsensical plot with so many holes, you really just had to watch it for the smut. Wasn’t worth it imo.

I’ve been cutting LF some slack over her treatment of LX but why is she blindly trusting Qin?? I’m ep. 16 and I really hope she sees him for what he is quickly because she’s starting to annoy me now.

What days do episodes release? is it once per week? I’ve watched two episodes and I am hooked.

Haven’t started this yet, is it any good? I’ve seen some say it isn’t great but I’m willing to give it a go as long as it doesn’t have a BE. I know it’s not over yet so nobody can say for sure though 👀

Lord Ling and Lady An had more chemistry than Feng Suige and Fu Yi Xiao 💀 I like Chen Zhe Yuan but he’s too pretty and soft in the face to be a believable battle hardened warrior and his acting skills leave a lot to be desired. While I really liked Li Qin in The Youth Memories, her acting in this is quite stiff which was a shame as I do like her otherwise. The plot was a mess and people’s reasonings for betrayals and wanting revenge made zero sense; it was like a plot from a short series 🤣 Also, the last minute amnesia was ridiculous!

what rubbed me the wrong way was how she didn’t tell him about it. she just went ahead and put it up for sale without considering his feelings. if she had communicated with him about, it would’ve been better and shown her growth as a character but her stubbornness is tiring this far into the show when it’s the second last episode.

15 mins into ep. 35 and Qian Fei is PISSING me off. What the hell is wrong with her? she’s beyond bullheaded and stubborn at this point. I don’t even think she told Li Yi Fei that she loves him yet. I understand that she’s worried about getting hurt again but LYF has shown her time and time again he’s not like that and as soon as the ex needs something she jumps up to sell her home!?! I’d love to see LYF walk away but I know that won’t happen. Ugh.

I really dislike when Cdramas do this. The build up takes too long if the leads only get together in the penultimate episodes 😐

I’m on ep. 29 and just wondering why did Director Fang do Qian Fei dirty? I thought she wanted her to push herself and prove that she could do the job. I’m kinda confused 🫤

ah damn that would’ve been a pretty solid ending to have on screen :/ I felt the ending was kinda anti climactic tbh…
