I'm in Episode 3 when the ML is revealed to the FL and i'm just realizing that in all these years, My Secret Romance is the 1st K Rom Com I have ever rewatched. It's as good to me as the first time around. Maybe better. Look at it another way. My Secret Romance -Ratings: 7.6/10 from 45,147 users, # Watchers: 82,609 Reviews: 109 users ; Nirvana in Fire - Ratings: 9.1/10 from 8,937 users, # of Watchers: 28,523 Reviews: 153 users When I select by # that voted and # that watched, the experience is ALWAYS better. Other than "The Wizard of Oz", which doesn't count just because, the only show / movie I've ever rewatched was "The Count of Monte Cristo" which is rated 7.7 on IMDB with 145,000 rating it and 110,000 put it on their Watch Lists. How do you pick the Keepers?
Honestly, I don't think Benita will pick either of them at the end. She's way too independent and picky. Jerome…
C'mon Ruth. : ) I thought about that also. Just like they left out when Jisu went back to the stamp board. There are five episodes left so they may show us the final picks in next week's preview, we won't see that till the middle of next month. Unless I missed Tom confessing to Benita, She must be talking about getting caught up in Jerome's feelings for her. Jerome is over top. I think it's Benita's independence that will push Her to Tom. Benita is looking for love but She does not have time for clingy Jerome right down the street. With Benita's job and Tom's twins, they have about the same amount of time free for each other.
My comment is about the Benita, Jerome, Tom Triangle. I'm going to mark this as a SPOILER because tomorrow for the show is probably three weeks for us viewers. Jerome's and Tom's Pros & Cons net ZERO. Benita knows how She feels about Tom and His parenting situation and location. On paper, Jerome should be the easy pick for Benita at this point. Although Tom asked, Benita never agreed to be Tom's last one on one date. When Benita told Jerome that Tom had asked Her to be His date tomorrow, did Jerome really tell Benita that He was confident He was not going to lose to His "Friend" Tom and that She should not stamp today but instead get up and go to the stamp board with Him? That's Controlling 101. To have no regrets, Benita is giving Jerome an opportunity to Close The Sale with the last one on one date. At the end of the day, Tom is going to get his date with Benita. Tom's two half-days per week with His twins leave five days per week with Benita in LA.
Ok. It's 6pm on Saturday, about 5 minutes into Episode 4, and I'm trippin already on pause. I'm trying to wrap my head around the first 3 episodes and the fact that the Finale is tomorrow. I have not been pulled into a drama like this in a very long time. This is going to be an all nighter. Sooo good!
To say I'm enjoying "Not Others" would be an understatement. The cast is amazing, script superbly written. I have always thought that any production with Choi Soo Young, Jeon Hye Jin, or Kim Hye Eun was better because they were in it but seeing these three beautiful and talented "A" listers, dressed down and playing off each other as just regular folk is a real treat. Just brilliant performances. As much as I love the leading ladies, the scene stealing OG's Kim Young Ok, Yang Hee Kyung, and Lee Yong Yi, (I say this with the utmost respect), turn out every scene they are in. So funny. I think I screamed the first time I saw them together. They need their own show. There is enough going on for this TV show to have been at least 16 episodes ... maybe more. That's my only con. My favorite ride is a roller coaster and it's over in a minute. I'll just enjoy the ride. One more thing (Columbo), What do you call a show that combines Comedy, Police Drama, Crime, Family Drama, Action, Romance, Mystery (lil bit), and more? Great Show!
Wow! This easily makes my "Top 10" for the year. Excellent. Loved it. First responder dramas already have the advantage of taking those hard rights into an emergency or disaster in a snap. "Fireworks of My Heart" is a 40 episode emotional ride on a wooden roller coaster.
I generally stop after three or four episodes (especially when I like the show) to read a few comments to see if this good feeling is going to last or take a hard right. I've finished four episodes and the main leads have me laughing like i'm watching "Moonlighting " from back then. Going back and forth like Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd. The comments are bumming me out. I'm keeping an open mind and pressing on.
This was a really Great Drama IMO. Blew right through it with the shorter episodes. ML & FL were superb. I really hate to put a But here, But ... Ep.11, after the flower field/kissing/fight scene, no signal, SUV won't start, raining, why didn't they just get in the incapacitated bad guys car and drive back? Not calling it a hole, just don't get it. I possibly missed something. Please help me if I did. Otherwise loved it. Beginning to end in one quick telework day.
I'm 10 episodes in. Eighteen to catch up. The character development is making me dizzy. Mixing it up pretty well. Laughing, crying, laugh-crying, screaming, cursing. Not even missin the kissin. I'm liking it so far.
Look at it another way.
