That's what I'm saying. It feels like they only get to be happy because she allows it and I don't like that. I also feel like Earn asking them to take a break is like waving a white flag and the mother still gets her way. She just fucks up their lives, gets sick and faces no consequence because she's 'ill'. Oh oh okay.
What are the differences between the show and the novel?
I'll list some 1. They made Earn too childish in the first half. I'm not sure if they just don't understand her character. Same as Lada. 2. The friends have too much screentime. They were there in the novel but not this much. 3. Engfa and Ratee. They have way too much screen time. They were like cameos in the novel. 4. The series spends way too much time on other things than building up Earn and Lada's relationship. 5. There was no Engfa + Earn plot used to make Lada jealous. They wasted time with that instead of making Earn and Lada slowly get back together like in thr novel. That was literally the best part. 6. There was no Thaen and Wisanu plotline and I'm unsure of why we are getting one when this could've been used to build Earn and Lada's relationship. 7. They could've removed most of the unnecessary things from above and instead, used more scenarios from the novel.
I need someone to redo this series with the same cast but this time stick to the novel. Ugh, how wonderful that would be. Too bad it'll only happen in my dreams.
The mother really gave herself a stroke because Lada loves a woman. She's going crazy because Lada isn't being the robot she created her to be. All I keep hearing is "I,I,I". She thinks giving birth means she should have full control literally treating Lada as an object. The lady orchestrated her daughter's break up which destroyed Lada and swooped in to console her. That is some psychopathic shit.
The father is just as awful and I need him to get what he deserves too. He really thought he did something when he told her he knew everything. Lada should cut them off. Tired of parents/grandparents fucking up kids life and talking about they did it out of love. Please.
I'm sorry but having the mother tell her sob story and suddenly being sick isn't going to gain any sympathy points from me. I truly could care less. All of her heinous acts disappeared just like that because she's sick. Is this the lesson that's being taught?
The way I skipped Thaen and Wisanu scenes because I'm not sure why these unnecessary scenes keep interfering with what should be the development of Earn and Lada's relationship...
My favorite part was Earn and Lada's Italy trip, but I guess the series will take that out too. SO many unnecessary…
That is very true. The trip really leveled up their relationship. They deviated so much from the book it's not even funny. I'm watching to support the girls but they were robbed and so was the book. It needed more than 8 episodes to fully flesh out, especially with most of the fillers that really did not need to be there. I'm getting Naruto ptsd flashbacks.
