I'm 70 yrs. old and this is my 2nd BL drama that I watched within this week. The first one was *The second Prince*…
I wasn't interested in BL either, just like you, until I watched the 9-minute trailer for KinnPorsche, and that was it for me. I think you're coming into the BL world at a great time. There have been so many amazing series released over the last few years, and the new ones just keep getting better and better!
I like Tutoryim I really do but what is with these scripts they are given, it always starts good and then just…
I agree with you. They are given series with no plot whatsoever. Maybe because the boys are stunning, and some think fans will enjoy and watch yet another nothingburger just for them, but this is the third series (and I don't count Cutie Pie) where they are just being cute while the plots are missing. I do hope they are given better work next time because, for me, they have great potential, just can't realise it yet.
no cause the internet says it is not based on manga or manhwa. (Are you maybe referring to Happy Twogether?) just…
Yes, Happy Twogether it just reminded me of it and after The Gaze, which was basically Jinx, I was wondering. Though that one isn't officially Jinx either, but is very similar.
For me, this is the best KBL I have seen. Finally, we had a series that is longer than 8 episodes, and it is heavy on the plot. The chemistry was also great; the spicy scenes were done well- honestly, not only the best Korean BL, but also one of the best BLs of this year. I only hope that more Korean BLs this good are made.
Well, it is similar to Love upon a time, and I Feel You Linger in the Air, and I'm the Most Beautiful Count, but…
Did you even read what I wrote, or are you just wanting to repeat the only thing you know? It is a remake, so what? It doesn't change the fact that it uses the same trope. Have I mentioned anywhere anything about whose first or anything like that? I am sorry, but you sound like a broken record. It may well be a remake, but it isn't quite the same as the original, is it? And by the way, everyone has the right to their opinion; there is no "you people."
You people saying that it is similar to "love upon a time" should stop it...you making it seem like love…
Well, it is similar to Love upon a time, and I Feel You Linger in the Air, and I'm the Most Beautiful Count, but that is because this is a common trope in the drama world. These three are the Thai BLs most similar, but there are kbls, and don't get me started with the normal series. The set-up isn't that important; the plot development is what matters. None of the series I wrote is the same or even close to each other. We will see this one so far, not bad.
Ok, I have a question and mind you, I have seen only a couple of episodes. Is this a very sanitised Chinese version of the manhwa Happy? Or at the very least inspired by it?
This was my first BL, and I genuinely liked it. I have seen that in most BL dramas, one of the leads has to act…
Hi, as the other person said, there are good and bad parts to this series, being your first. If you want more relaxed, calm, and mature BLs like this one, there aren't that many, but I can recommend some. First of all, stick to the Japanese ones; they are the calmer, more mature ones, not all, at least some. Here are some recommendations: Countdown to Yes, Contrast, When It Rains, It Pours, Cosmetic Playlover (both seasons), Stay by My Side after the Rain, Love Is Better the Second Time Around, Perfect Propose, Living with Him, I Hear the Sunspot, If you want to broaden your horizons, here are some Taiwanese ones: Unknown, The On1y One, Wishing upon the Shooting Stars ( a little bit of a fantasy). You can watch 10Dance it is a movie, but it is great. This can be your starting point, but personally I recommend that you to try watching different types of BLs. Also, every country has its own approach to BLs, with different storytelling styles, themes, and cultural elements that make its productions unique, and you need to find for yourself what you like and what you dislike, and which country's style fits you the best. While the Thai ones are the most similar to what you describe, there are still good series that you might like. Ask questions; there will always be veterans to give you suggestions.
I need to be honest. The first couple of episodes were rough for me. The humour didn't hit Nakun/ Klao was annoying. I was thinking that this series was going in the direction of I'm the Most Beautiful Count while I was looking for a series like I feel you linger in the air. Thankfully, little by little, the tone became better, the characters clicked, and the story became more engaging. In all, I like the series, I like the characters and the actors, both couples were enjoyable. That said, JJ did a good job, especially after all the hate he received, but for me, Net was amazing. He gave his all and made me believe in his deep love. I would have loved to see more from the past in the last episode, or at least a more dramatic reunion, but even like this, it was ok. I recommend it, so go watch it if you haven't, especially the people who love I feel you linger, but weren't happy with the ending.
Not a bad series. I personally enjoyed it. It isn't anything particularly special, but it was watchable. For me, the only big mistake was that they wasted Kim Bum. I loved the Boys over Flowers little reference, but beyond that, Kim Bum was just criminaly under used.
it's good...i guess people liked it more back then and now like this because of the nostalgia. i wish this was…
Did you watch the Japanese one? Honestly, I haven't watched only the original Taiwanese Meteor Garden, but I liked the changes that the Chinese version made, although it is not my favourite. To me, the university setting made more sense, especially for the second part of the story
Just delete the link. I thought that we had already learned not to post these links, so we can protect the sites. If someone asks dm them, but just don't put these links here.
