I binged the first 3 ep and was totally into it. I felt that the people were being unfair just because it is different from the manhwa. But we are 4 ep in and there is no onscreen or offscreen development between the main characters. Even Heesu and Chanyoung don’t seem to be very close friends. The focus is clearly on the het couple and any development between the BL couple is non-existent. It feels Seungwon is in his own world where he is imagining stuff while Heesu spares him 0 thoughts.

I agree. Up until episode 3, I was okay with pace and plot but ep 4 ruined things for me. The BL couple is being treated as a side couple here
