Hinami

I'm really really loving this so far. The scenery and colours are all so vivid and vibrant and it's been a while since I watched a drama that makes me feel really happy without having a lot of angst. Waiting is going to be the death of me.

The first episode didn't have as much impact on me as I expected but I'm looking forward to seeing more of Onizuka's antics and the rest of the students in the class.

I absolutely love how the drama ended. Towards the end, the tone got darker as everything was revealed and there was that subtle shot to "Honno-ji" while "Nobunaga" and "Mitsuhide" shook hands. The subtle tie-in with history and the motivations of the characters really made it worthwhile. It was different from the anime but in a very good way.

I have mixed feelings. My cousins were gushing to me about it, and when I started watching it, I did get attached to the characters but it didn't give me that lovely feeling of watching the Thai remake of Full House. The tragedy/angst is enjoyable only for a while, but I did have fun watching the drama.

Ahh, I was desperately hoping Bitter Blood would be in the list- I'd have to say mine for this year was Bitter Blood.

While watching Bitter Blood, some shots of him from the side really make him look very similar to Mukai Osamu. I was almost convinced at certain moments until I got a better look at him later in the episode.

This version definitely made is mark in my memory, while the ending was a somewhat rushed, this was the first time that I actually cried throughout the course of the drama ( for all the versions ). Wonderful.

I'm excited to see Takeru-kun getting another lead role ( >.< ) and finally, another proper Japanese remake of Itazura. I watched the 1996 version, which, thought short, was cute but kind of incomplete. I'm loving the remake, it's really exploring the characters' personalities.
