LOVED IT!

Almost everything about this drama was amazing!

I'll start off with the cast. The cast was excellent, I loved the main characters as well as most of the side characters. They played their roles well!

The story was great! Got a bit confusing every once and a while (possibly my fault, but who knows) but was still amazing nonetheless. It was good but never left you on your toes. There were serious moments, sad moments, and moments where you could have a good laugh. I really liked the development as well.

Overall, if you're looking for a drama with good development and to pass time, I recommend this one!

AMAZING REPRESENTATION OF THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT!

This drama was really good!

I love the idea of the possibility of another universe where you live a life that is different from your current one. It was really intriguing and even though some moments made me want to bash my head into a desk and some moments where I knew what was about to happen, I loved it a lot! The male lead deciding to live in a world that wasn't his with the woman who didn't have the same memories as he did was heart-touching!

The acting was amazing, and I loved the emotions shown by the actors. Though while watching it, it didn't come as a surprise when they revealed the culprits. As I progressed through the show more, it became more obvious to me.

I recommend this drama! It was amazing, I liked it a lot.

VERY ADDICTING AND TUGS AT YOUR HEART-STRINGS!

This drama might not be for everyone, but for me, It was absolutely amazing, one of my top favorites!

It's different from the usual progression in dramas. Instead of going in the normal direction of a happy start, falling in love, the conflict between characters that throw you off guard then a happy ending, this drama portrays a much more dark route. Not everyone will like the more in-depth mentioning of mental illnesses and the dark and depressingness of this drama, but I'd recommend definitely giving it a try! It's really heart-touching (at least to me) and I was addicted to the second episode!

The main characters are absolutely amazing, and you will most definitely fall for them! They have a different feel than other drama main characters and they are portrayed amazingly! The main female (Moonyoung) is cold on the outside with a warm inside and the main male lead (Gangtae) is warm on the outside with a more walled up personality. The third main lead was also amazing might I add, he brought some amazing moments to the show. They all had bad memories that were intertwined and they protected each other throughout the drama. The three main leads were AMAZING, one of my favorite sets of main characters! The brotherhood between the two male leads will make you cry from how touching it is!

This drama brings a lot of emotions and I highly recommend this drama to anyone who is looking for something meaningful, and intriguing to watch! Plus, the ending is super cute and worth the watch!

This drama has plenty of good aspects. Romance, Suspense, Comedy, Supernatural elements, and more. This drama was more fast-paced and revealed enough information to give you an idea of what's going to happen next if you paid enough attention, and that was one of the more negative things about this drama. There was rarely and suspense and anticipation for me, but nonetheless, I enjoyed this drama quite a lot.

The cast is amazing for this drama! The actors did an amazing job portraying their characters and gave a good impression of them. The two main leads were fascinating throughout the drama and continued to show their acting growth, which I loved.

The OST's are loveable, and I sometimes still listen to them.

Overall, this is a good drama to watch. I recommend it.

My heart has been stolen!

“If you give up on waiting, the pain of loss will kill you. That’s why I wait.” —Captain Ri.

This quote will stick with me for a long long time. It's such a meaningful quote that hits my heart hard and doesn't fail to make me think a lot. I usually don't find many quotes from dramas that stick to me like superglue, but this one does, it's engraved in my brain.

Onto the review of the drama itself!

I've heard a lot about this drama, good and bad alike, and I procrastinated on watching it for such a long time honestly. Funny side-story, but my French teacher is actually the one who motivated me to FINALLY watch it, and when I did start it, I binged it all the way through! (It was that good!!) I'll start off by talking about the acting in this drama because CLOY has some powerful actors in my opinion.

The acting style throughout this drama was amazing, and each character held up their own, I felt as if I could feel the emotions that the characters were experiencing most of the time I was watching the drama. I fell in love with the main leads instantly, and they played their characters brilliantly.

The story was never really boring while I watched it, there was something interesting, or funny, or nerve-racking scenes all throughout the show that keeps you on your feet and keeps you engaged. I love the fact that the female lead isn't some "helpless" and "weak" woman, it's different from a lot of romance dramas and I love the empowering feeling that Seri gave off. At first, you'd think "Oh, she's just a spoiled main lead." but no, that's really not the case with CLOY. She worked for everything she has and she's a powerful female lead, she's headstrong and she's confident. I love her. I also like the shyness and care that Junghyuk displayed, it wasn't over the top and it really goes to show that the small things matter and the little things that someone does for you can make such a big difference in how you see someone.

Another thing I really love about CLOY (besides the brilliant story and beautiful acting,) is the support characters, more specifically, the comrades. The comrades brought a lot to the show and never failed to make me laugh, they really made things come together and make everyone feel more like a family, which my heart grow so full, they were such a cute little group, I honestly got a bit attached to them.

The last thing I'll touch on is the OST. I love the OST lots, and I listen to it almost daily, it's absolutely stunning!

Overall, CLOY is an amazing drama, and if you've been pondering whether you should watch it or not, I highly recommend watching it!! You won't regret it!

THE EXCITEMENT REALLY NEVER ENDS!!

At first, I was skeptical of this drama, but the first episode grabs onto you like a hook! The Uncanny Counter is amazing, one of my newly found favorites. I looked forward to every weekend just so I could watch this show and figure out what was going to happen! A true nail-biter!

The plot was nicely done, I felt as if I understood everything I needed to know, and the progression of the characters was quite lovely. The highlight of this show, in my opinion, was the friendship. Onto character progression, Hyukwoo had a nice character progression, as he went from being a huge bully, and generally just a character you dislike a lot, to the one you start feeling a bit bad for and start liking because he starts being nicer, it was a nice touch. (a bit cliche, but it still gets me every time) I also liked how Mun became a counter out of nowhere, and his progression of becoming better, and settling in with his powers as a Counter, and figuring out all the new things he can do with them. The uncertainties the rest of the group had disappeared as Mun learned.

Uncanny Counter has a pretty good mix of Thrill, Political Corruption, Supernatural, Friendship, and light-heartedness, and it makes the drama itself great to watch.

I love this cast a lot, not just the actors/actresses, but the characters they play as well. They all work well together, and their characters were so nicely fit together, it was almost as if they were a family, and in my eyes, they really are a family. I truly love every member of the Counter squad, they live in my heart. I also love Mun's two best-friends, they are so wholesome and never failed to give me a smile! The casting on Uncanny Counter is splendid, and I couldn't imagine the cast being anyone else!

Overall, I 10/10 recommend Uncanny Counter, it's an amazing show, and I would, and probably will rewatch it again down the road. You will not regret watching Uncanny Counter!

There was potential, but I was let down.

This drama had plenty of potential. The plot was very intriguing, and it was something that I personally haven't seen before, the concept was very innovative and thought-provoking, the music was a nice touch, but what really sunk it for me was the execution of the drama itself.

LUCA: The Beginning is precisely about scientists who are trying to create a new species that will overthrow the human race in many aspects, they combine the DNA of several animals that will strengthen normal humans and make them more resilient to various things. A cult-like group that claims itself as a 'Church' is followed by a woman who frames herself as the prophet for the second becoming- or as known as in this drama- The new Human Hybrid that would take over the human race. Zi-O, their first successful product of the experiment enters the scene and causes havoc amongst all.

The drama bases itself around Zi-O and his journey to find who he really is and how he turned out the way he did. Along this journey, he encounters a policewoman, Gu Reum, and learns that they share a past. I started this show with high hopes, it has a nice synopsis, an intriguing trailer and I thought it would end up high on my list, but I was, unfortunately, let down.

The drama is produced well and reasonably acted for the most part (there were some hiccups here and there), but the way they formatted the plot and characters bugged me and they were getting a big inconsistent towards the end. The FL kinda irked me in the end, I really couldn't get behind her attitude, especially (SPOILER WARNING) when she finally figured out Zi-O didn't kill her parents, yet she still left him in the dust. The ending of the show was more like a cliffhanger than a bittersweet, or happy ending, (SPOILER WARNING) Zi-O turning evil and making tons of children like him.

I also couldn't really comprehend that boss guy coming back to life almost every episode after being beaten to a pulp every time, it was annoying after a bit.

For me, if I weren't watching this as it aired, I would have struggled really hard getting through it. I didn't enjoy this drama as much as I anticipated I would. There were plenty of inconsistencies, plot incoherency, poor characterization, I just felt a bit iffy about the show altogether.

The Special Effects were decent, nothing too great to boast about but they were fine. The acting was okay-ish.

'LUCA: The Beginning' had a lot of potential, but it was just poorly executed.

In Come and Hug me, almost every episode has a meaning. The plot itself was nicely done even if it was on the longer side. The concept of the story was amazing, and the tension was immaculate. You have to pay good attention to this drama to understand some of the things.

The casting was amazing, as well as the acting (though there were some moments where the main male seemed dull). The main couple was very sweet and made the whole "star-crossed lovers" theme seem real-ish. The villain, Heo Joon Ho, was amazing, I love dramas with good villains! I wish the drama went a bit more in-depth to his character, but his character was really nice! Some moments touched me, some moments didn't really phase me.

Overall, I loved the romance and the psychological aspects of this drama. I held my breath a few times watching this one!

Nostalgic, but not my cup of tea.

Cinderella and the Four Knights is cliche as you'll get to be honest, given the name and all. I didn't hate it, but it wouldn't be on my top 10. I liked all the cutesy scenes in it, and when I first watched it the love triangles messed with me a lot! Poor girl, a bunch or rich guys the monets to come with. The chick you'll hate and the second lead you'll love almost more than the main lead himself. This drama did start off pretty well, but went downhill from around episode 7-8ish. Very predictable.

The actors were nicely chosen for this type of drama, but even tghough they tried hard to give the character justice, it didn't really work out. Not saying the characters were completely terrible, they just weren't as good as they could've been.

The OST's were nice.

I wouldn't rewatch this drama because It would be a waste of my time. If you're looking for something light to watch in the background, this could do.

Second is most definitely the best!

I was a bit skeptical while watching season 1; I didn't think the writers could pull off more than one season of the show, but I was proven wrong! Penthouse is an intense drama filled with corrupt people doing corrupt and horrid things all in hopes to gain fame, money, and popularity. The members of the penthouse were willing to do anything to gain these things. For me, I prefer the 2nd season over the 1st one as it was much more exciting for me to watch and I always found myself itching to watch the next episode even though it wasn't out yet. I can't pinpoint if it was because this season was a bit shorter than the first, or if it was just written better, but I can surely go on and on about how much I enjoyed Penthouse: War in Life Season 2.

Story:
Honestly, the story was never boring. With every episode came chaos and I think the writers did a fantastic job at throwing in the twists and turns all throughout the show. The writers left me on the edge of my seat through the entirety of the drama. The plot took a different direction than I had guessed from the first season, and it was unpredictable throughout most of the episodes. I was left in shock so many times while watching this season. Season 2 was just brilliant!

Characters:
I praised the characters and acting in my previous review of season one, and I will continue to praise that here as well. The characters were brilliantly made, and right off the bat in season one, you could quickly tell who you liked and who you hated. However, throughout the show and carrying on into season 2 those same characters you would claim to hate with all your heart start seeping into your blood and you being liking them for various reasons. The development of the characters is also something that I would like to praise. For example, Jenny's mother who at first also hated Yoon Hee, but later discovered that her child was being tormented by the penthouse kids such as Ro Na and Seoul A were and she turned her back to them for the most part. I also loved the fact that Yoon Hee was so determined to bring justice for her daughter and for all the evil things the people at the penthouse did and still punished herself for Seol A's death afterward. I didn't really like Yoon Hee, but her courage and willingness to face the punishment for her crime were nice.

Acting:
By far this drama has the perfect lineup of actors and actresses! They did such an amazing job at portraying their characters and the emotions that came with them and it was so amazing to watch! I truly can't picture a different cast for this drama, it simply would not be the same! They did a splendid job with this drama, and I truly treasure this cast and their brilliant acting! I will for sure be checking out some more of their individual works!

ETC:
The only other thing I would like to go over in my review is the few OST's we were given. In Penthouse, both seasons, I've yet to find one OST I didn't like. The music was beautifully selected for this drama! I just wish there was a bit more showing of them!

Final Thoughts:
Overall this drama was exciting to watch and always kept me on my toes! I absolutely loved season two!

All that being said, I can't wait to see what season three brings (although I'm not sure as to how they will extend the story more other than from what happened in the last episode of season 2.) I can't wait to rejoin with this hectic yet masterpiece of a dram! Overall, this season was fantastic! If you've watched and liked season 1 (or if you're a bit iffy on season 1) I totally recommend pushing through and watching season 2! You will NOT regret it!

DEFINTELY NOT FOR THE LIGHT-HEARTED!

I'd like to start my review off with how amazing the acting in Penthouse was. The acting was phenomenal and the emotions expressed by each actor and actress were beautifully done. The actors and actresses in Penthouse portrayed their characters incredibly well, to the point where you begin to hate the character as if they were real-life people. 10/10 acting, amazing cast on this drama!

The plot is basically a murder-mystery with a huge pit of revenge mixed in, which turned out to make a lovely drama. There were a few times I'd be watching Penthouse and think that there should have been more common sense written in, but the many plot twists and unexpected events definitely make up for it.

Without a doubt, Penthouse is intense, it's frustrating. Myself, I couldn't handle it at first, I stopped watching it for a bit, but recently decided to pick it back up after seeing a clip of a later episode. As soon as I picked Penthouse back up, I became immersed and practically binged the rest. There's plenty of likable qualities about this show.

I'll conclude my review with the last point I want to share. The first season was great, don't' get me wrong, but I really don't see how the show is planned to stretch out for 3 seasons. The first season by itself has 21 episodes, and I think it has pretty much concluded what was formed in this season, not much unfinished business SPOILER WARNING (besides the justice that Logan Lee might get for Shims murder, his revenge against Dantae, and (maybe) the publicity & justice of SeolAh's murder) I can see the second season working, but not a thrid season. Will the two following seasons live up to the first season? Will it be worth it to watch? Who knows.

Overall, I decided to give Penthouse a 9.5, because the acting was amazing, and despite the few times where I wanted to completely stop watching because of how frustrated I was the drama was overall amazing.

I totally recommend this drama, it is a fantastic watch! But only to those who can handle watching very intense shows, with dark topics.

It was okay.

Definitely not the best movie I've watched, but given the time it came out it was okay.

The story was nice, and it had some funny moments, but there were some parts that I just wasn't into. It's a good watch if you want to watch a quick and romance based movie. Initially, I thought it was a cliche silly romance, but it did delve into a more serious take near the end. I liked the acting, it was nicely done, but the characters were a bit on the annoying side

It was overall okay, and if you're looking for something to pass the time with, this would be good enough to watch to do so.

Felt like it was lacking something.

The movie was mediocre for me and I couldn't help but feel that it was missing something.

I enjoy the concept of zombies and the apocalypse, and it was ironic that it came out the same year we're all stuck in this COVID-19 pandemic. The movie itself focuses mainly on the characters and is overall fast-paced. It felt a bit empty watching this and it wasn't really that rememberable and had no takeaway value from it. The story definitely could have used more work and that was my main issue with it. I still watched it, but I got bored in some scenes.

I did however like the music used (for the short time it did show) in the movie and the slight showing of friendship between the two main characters. (which I wish had a bit more development.) The acting was also really good, the actors portrayed their characters well and I liked the acting a lot.

The CGI was phenomenal and looked incredibly realistic, and the fast-paced zombies instead of the usual slow paces zombies brought a huge thrill and horror to the zombies! Well done on the CGI!

It's an okay zombie movie to watch if you're really into zombie movies, but it wasn't the best.
