Many of these girls have done time with BNK48 and AKB48. specials, shows, performance, and concerts. I have watched BNK girls don't cry a couple times. Gonna watch it again just to see how much growth some of them have achieved. After I finish the series. Gdaughter and I both enjoy the fun story line and the life lessons. We also like that it is about the talent laying out the story straight forward and simple. But it does not diminish the major internal moral battle raging in Pang. Ep 4 all in it. Running rating 8. At the moment.
Underrated. Most of the comments are just wrong. Kim Go Eun is a marvelous actress. She builds huge empathy for Bok Sun. Lee Min Ki gives creep to his role as Tae Soo. This movie is about trama suffered by Bok Sun when her sister, only anchor to a small bit of her normalcy, is ripped from her by a murderous bastard. Bok is not "dim whitted". She is mentally retarded. Difference of about a 1000 miles. Her mental development level hits around 12 yoa. She additionally displays autism. Unable to express expected emotions at times. She gets angry appropriately. Then add Na Ri, who is 10 yoa. The bastard kills Na Ri's sister. She now is without family. Their awkward bonding is tearful. Most of the movie is Bok and Na running from Tae Soo. There is a mash of fighting at the end of the movie. It goes thru various stages, and involves 10 people fighting at different times. The last fight between Bok and Tae is pure desperation. Big part of the back story is cruel and uncaring behavior of all the others in the movie. Tavi driver, cops, property owners... Time and time again cruel people take advantage of Bok. Her naivety and ignorance make her a target for every evil little minion she interacts with. This movie is deep and dark. There are a few moments of just fun. There are some moments of revenge rage. But just a few minutes. This movie pulled many of my triggers. I suffered pure hate for most characters. And shed tears for Bok and Na. The opening and closing are about the only funny. It's the only scenes Bok displays what could be seen as more than just normal fighting. Great movie. Solid 8.5 for me. Recommend.
Get off the couch. This show is under rated. Aokbab is an amazing actress. From what I have been able to watch her in. She can make her characters come alive. The concept of the show is fresh and very deep. It holds the drama close to the chest, but it is there. The interpersonal relations are beautifully done. Many different personalities looking back at one person. This show is equal among peers. The only separation from other drama genres is language. It notably does not suffer the typical Thai lagging production value. Highly Recommend. Rare for me, but I am a solid 8.5 rating.
Ok. We all know that moment. Like Jaws when the girl is stripping running to the water. No one says stop striping. But there is that moment. Everyone says it's a shark movie, don't get in the water naked lady. Or Michael Myers is running the streets. That adorable teen goes to answer the door. And the crowd gasp! NO, don't open the door. Episode 11 has that moment. No! That is definitely not a good idea. Too late. All hell breaks loose. Don't get between a wigged-out mom and her son/not son. Last 3 episodes are wow. Episode 13 has a couple curves. I fell all the way into one. The whole series is good. I like the sleepless dramas. Great writing/directing. Great actors and acting. And this one, great psychoness. Ploy is amazing. She owes the black fingernail look. Jason Young really makes Karn a real dude. Totally nailed it. No dings on this series. All thumbs up. Highly Recommend. I rate a solid 8. (Thai production value still lagging some.)
Older ML with younger FML = People in silence. Older FML with younger ML = People commenting about it all the…
Age don't matter if there is good chemistry. IMO, if the age is an issue, the actors and director are not hitting the mark. I kinda agree with the way the prejudice flows. But I am stickin' to my guns. If you are vested in the characters, not the actors, it ain't an issue.
My 5th time watching. The first episode is one of my favorites. Prejudice, Oh Yeon Seo is my favorite actress. This is my favorite series. Love the cast. Written/directed with perfection (warned you I am prejudiced). The production is good. Episode 1. The main contributing characters are introduced and developed. The weight of the drama and trauma is defined in the first scenes. The villains are immediately jerks. No confusion on who to hate the most. The actors really bring the writing to life. I hate 'em - aarrrrrg. The humor is rich and quirky. The goofy music that flows in the background really is value added while laughing. How many funny Joseon prisons scenes have a AC/DC song floating on background. And finally, Oh Yeon Seo!
Wow I give up. The story is interesting. Ying Shiuan Hsieh got talent. She is awesome in this role. Roy Chui is really good, with a couple of hard clunks. I'll put that on the director. The format is why I dropped. The time travel confuses me. It's seamless and happens too often. Left me looking for the storylines of the past and present.
How is the fight scene and how strong is the protagonist in martial art?
I like the combat scenes. Large scale down to face off fights. I don't think I saw that one person that just is unbeatable. But, the fighters of the "righteous manors" get beat back often. The only thing that put me off was the repetition of this theme or that. Kinda feels like filler. Give it a go. Don't really want to give up some of the really cool stuff.
RIP Kang Soo Yeon. She can share her success with her eared ancestors. Her skill as actress is the only value added item in this show. I did connect to her desperation. The rest of the cast, average joes getting a days wage. Story typical, no mind binder Little action at all. I'm guess total of ten min or about. First 60 mins seems off balance, disjointed dialog with a spot here and there for Kang to add some emotions. I am also gonna punt the cgi. Many places it was so cgi it read false. Some scenes showed energy and effort. Mostly just boring, they generated no response. Just was the end. Done c ya later. So a raw but definite not recommand. Time filler desperate for scfi, give it a shot. Imma hard 6.5 for this.
I to started this for Shin. She is near the top on my favorite actress list. Unfortunately for her, she is the only actor on this show. The story is weak then toss in a bucket of other problems and poof! Unwatchable. The cast from top to bottom is not good. Bad writing, bad directing (timing bad), and poor acting. Don't know if it was Lee, bad acting or if it was just a super crap role - I ff thru all his scenes. Anyway, can't believe I dropped a Shin Se Kyung show. Rate it a weak 6.
Fast to watch. Easy binge. As good as My Husband Got Family, even a touch better. WARNING! Spoiled brat overload will drive you nuts. But it is supposed to. Great cast. All cept Julien Kang, only because it felt clunky to me, nut I am sure he got it right. Hwang Jung Eum wins my favorite role award. So beautiful and hopeful for a great life. But so dimwitted and pitiful. I don't mean that as a diss. Jung Eum is perfect in her part. My empathy for her is over whelming at times. She had me teary eyed a lot. I love her and put her at #13 on my favorites list. But the whole show is littered with humor, drama, laughs, anger.... It's no joke. The ending is a whopper. Did not see it coming at all. It flips normal last scene the big happy to end a really sad last episode. The last scene is just shock. Highly recommend. I give it a solid 9.

Finished. Good show. Probably a great show for a specific kdrama fan. Felt like I was in London returning to Harrods. But when I entered, I was in Walmart. Good cast. Seemed they were being directed into a one mood role. The show was mostly one gear, depressed. Sul is the role I connected with most. I cried for her when....(Would be spoiler). Princess Min Hwa is the best story. I ff thru bunches of stuff. Lots of the first 6 episodes, and much to the end. The kids all were spot on. I am rating at a 7.5 Just didn't connect with me.
