Yh you are right in a way, only if Chen Yi's dad never doubted him for being his biological son or not he had the potential to be a good father and give the child a good life.

oh so that was what the loan was about, I didnt understand it while watching, As for the part about Chen Yi comes, she was never truly a compassionate person all she cared about is building a life for her and her daughter, and Chen Yi himself was also very independent. And we cant ignore that Chen Yi's dad was also crap, He kept a lady and her daughter under his roof but never gave them proper status.
Regardless I do agree what she did to her daughter was very wrong hence I cant forgive her but I also kind of understand her choices as the person she is, an unrealistically ambitious and greedy woman who has fallen from grace.

I like that she has realized her mistakes, Unfortunately realization came late. At this point I dont like her but I dont have hate either.
