And we cant ignore that Chen Yi's dad was also crap, He kept a lady and her daughter under his roof but never gave them proper status.
Regardless I do agree what she did to her daughter was very wrong hence I cant forgive her but I also kind of understand her choices as the person she is, an unrealistically ambitious and greedy woman who has fallen from grace.
