XiangLiu is full of contradictions,as if his 9 heads conflicting, thinking in all directions - I speak figuratively - he was freed from dungeon arena, only to be somehow enslaved by that 'foster father 'of his, who never really gave him any freedom to follow his heart

try hiding your love for your beloved...no matter how much good you're doing for your beloved, even die -if your beloved doesn't know it, it's your own fault if you're not reciprocated and left alone... XiangLiu had the best chances of winning XiaoYao, out of all four candidates, but he ruined this through his secretiveness....on the other hand, seemingly weak TushanJing has his heart all out and gently but consistently pursuing his beloved, never hiding his feelings.....how much I appreciate XiangLiu and pity him, I can't help but think, it's his own secretiveness that left him lonely and abandoned in love....he was just unwilling to fight for love, maybe he never wanted to be tied down by wife and kids..... so he cherished his platonic affection....if not that bug killing him, I even doubt,if he would be so sacrificing.... poisonous love bug,huh..... XiangLiu was always eating poison like bread, even love was a poison to him

after watching LYF season1, this one is a healer of emotions, uff

what is the motivation for XiangLiu to accept the bug transfer, and why the nutshell disappeared in the process, but it didn't disappear when the bug was in CangXuan?

one answer can be found in ep.23, when Grandpa told XiaoYao: 'if he is mine or CangXuan's enemy, he'll abandon you later on, because you are not too important for him '

that's a surprising twist🪢 XiangLiu seems to be a free,high soaring 'bird'-but he can't let go of his loyalties to his father's army, that's his tying rope, not even great love can free him 😳on the other hand we have TushanJing, who seems weak and family dependent, but in the end -for the sake of true love,he broke those enslaving bonds and pursued his love until the end 💗

in ep.12, XiangLiu asked XiaoYao for an oath; he would receive the love bug transferred from CX, and XiaoYao promised to grant him one wish.... does anyone know, what XiangLiu's wish was??

he has a very high IQ... but, towards his family, he's overly trustful....which resulted in all the trouble, because this let his own people hurt him and the relationship with his beloved..... interestingly, he blindly drinks poison, even from the hand of his beloved, because it was her who gave it-this scene is in the 2nd episode..... this unconditional trust is beautiful, but dangerous.... later on, he'll drink the aphrodisiac nockout drug from the hand of his snake grandma

I'm rewatching this show for the sake of lovely weirdo Xiang Liu....this character is so interesting... very good study to understand wounded psychologically individuals.... his is a fascinating positive growth😍

wow! so Xiang Liu really became a knight in shining armour!.... these spoilers are wonderful!..... I think a lot about this intriguing character, and I'm leaning towards the opinion, that his choice of retreating from actively pursuing XiaoYao and become her silent lover who effectively protects her behind the scenes, was made in that fateful episode 34, when they meet with arena Freedman.. and XL' sudden uncontrolled outburst of blind anger towards XY, made him realise that he is unable to control his childhood hurt experiences and will be unintentionally hurting XiaoYao if he stays with her, so he changed his approach???.........

yeah...u r still early on... his history will be gradually revealed... it's really heartbreaking, but it's the way it is for him.... he'll eventually turn from villain into a hero 💗

Love and Redemption is a full time tear jerker 😭.... actually, it's another masterpiece, but with different twist and a lot more detailed.... it's a very good, thought provoking watch, too.... and like this one, never boring 🪴

didn't read it.... but earlier comments said, that Li Lianhua lost his reasons,in the novel and was roaming the world as a lunatic.... so the Show's ending is way better
