This drama is the perfect example of blood isn't always is thicker than water. Their friends and adopted family members have been doing a better job at loving and supporting GX and especially LC than their parents (except GX's mom). I teared up when the captain's wife said LC was like her son. Lord knows this boy has been through it and just needs love, support and understanding by functioning adults!! Lu Chen's parents don't deserve him nor his sister!

Where did you hear that? Everyone on here as mentioned that the story is on track with the book with a few minor changes. I'm currently reading the book as well and thus far the drama and book are aligned except we haven't gotten the breakup backstory yet and minor changes that's made the story better such as ages of GX and Xiaonan.
