so turns out that Jiang ci is the king youngest daughter and the Yan sisters were like her protector , because the king killed prince qi, pei Yan mother knew about the king's crime so she was the one that helped Zhao wu family escape to threaten the king with them in future, the King later found out so he made her a princess and granted her and pei Yan a marriage, well they didn't get married though and jiang ci shifu died as well , so she thought wei Zhao killed her but he didn't wei zhao was framed .
later Jiang ci got pregnant with wei Zhao baby ( after they sorted out their differences and it was the last battle).
to summarise the story wei Zhao died in the battle with the emperor and his soldiers in a flame of fire. so it has a sad ending and the author didn't change the ending
