I’m done watching and lemme just say there is not going to be a season two both lead actor won’t come back to play their characters even if there is one, they lacked chemistry or lemme just say the script isn’t deserving of their acting, do you guys also noticed that throughout the cases they solved the victims never really got the justice they deserved and j think that can be said for the ending, it’s open if I wanna base it on season 1 both of them did not survive since the prince sent assassin’s to assasinate and I think the emperor is to be blamed for it he knew the enemy but shielded them he’s a coward, womaniser and also wicked in his own way, 80% of the cases that happened the emperor was the cause of it, the foundation for all the killings and disasters he’s so unresponsible, the only reason he took li peiyi in was because he was guilty and even at the end he tried to act like as if he did something good “I’ve always tolerated you and let you even kill cui huajin” THAT WAS THE BARE MINIMUM, it’s his fault that her parent died lemme rephrase it he’s responsible for his brothers death. as for the main couple I have issues with them are li peiyi character got no improvement at all she also aided in the death of the people that died from episode 29 to the last episode she’s just like the emperor( not all of his characters tho) she knew that man claiming to avenge his family massacred an entire family, i felt like immediately she knew she could have beh**ded him honestly because she went through all of that and then decided to plan knowing it would get people killed, at the end of the day it reflects on the society as well she benefited from it( being a royal). the second half of the drama made me uninterested in the revenge because it got all messy. my overall rating for the drama is 6/10 will I ever rewatch or recommend it no, never.

episode 29 is sooo stupid husking deserves better( unpopular opinion) better in a sense of better relationship husking seems to be a lover boy and primo is the opposite huajin seems to be a bit obsessive and selfish while in love but pei yi is the opposite, she’s been like that since the first episode she does not really have much character change or maybe it’s the script both of them as a couple just seem like the worst combination ever I blame the writer they did not write pei yi character very well she’s written to be strong lawless,boyish and free character but episode 29 let me down if they’d wanted to write her well she would not have jumped into conclusion instead plan thoroughly she’d been waiting for 15 years she can wait a little longer as long as she gets her revenge,vendetta of an did that flawless( p.s no comparison intended here don’t twist my words) anyways the ending will determine my final rating, and can I just add that pesto never even visited huajin when he was bed ridden for 2 months huajin would have done the opposite even if he was angry at her, how I wish they’d written his character as a ruthless no nonsense character that actually gets mad and sticks to his principles.

okay can I say original was pretty stupid in episode 29 but I get it she’s emotional and I see a lot of people on X getting mad at the ML for stopping her if she’d kill him not only would she not have gotten her revenge and clear her dad’s name she won’t ever be the same and she might get killed

the whole premise of the show for the FL character is quite lemme say lazy, FL clearly hasn’t gone out enough why do they have to present her as like an object of desire, why is it that when her friend’s boyfriend saw her he immediately liked her and wanted to be with her and a lot of other males too, I think this dram was shot on the FL POV because it’s quite exaggerated I see it as her being full of herself instead of being confident. and the scene where she met the ML, when the ml was not paying enough attention to her she was already getting irritated that alone says a lot about her character, i dont really know why they based the show on this, because clearly she hasn’t met a lot of men for her to kind of be soo sure they are gonna lose their composure immediately they see her

awww omg you should give his other dramas a try you’ll love him he’s a good actor and he’s doing a good job honestly it’s refreshing to see him play a villian role I’m being bias yes i loveee the actor but then we all have preferences

like she was manipulative but some how she is able to manipulate and gaslight the characters and also the viewers all I can do is give her a standing ovation
