Yes the ex-girlfriend was a surprise. But then again, maybe she is speaking & feeling emotions of the past Seo Joon...she's in for a rude awakening sadly LOL. Yeah the plot for season 1 should not be repeated. I understood Seo Joon pushing him away in season 1 as that was a reasonable conclusion & somewhat understandable. I'll admit that him saying that he had been lonely when they were together sounded & felt like an answer to him ghosting...albeit by far a good enough answer but since he's mute on a good day this was at least a crumb. I then could say it's a total communication breakdown but...it doesn't explain his throat punching worthy behavior that he so comfortably portrays. It seems that they have gone out of their way to show us every positive move on Seo Joon's part & absolutely not a single positive thing about Ji Woo's behavior which confuses me. In the end why would I want to see them together?

I had a hard time in Season 1 trying to find what he was seeing in Ji Woo but I went with it because in the end he seemed happy with Mr. No Personality but this? I'm going to call BS now on whatever delusion they will try to sell us to get them together in a healthy relationship. My first suggestion will be to let me throat punch Ji Woo & then we can go from there. Until he can play nice with Seo Joon he is underserving of a happy ending. He can continue to be his miserable self in the middle of nowhere with his ex-girlfriend. The happy ending for me would be for Seo Joon to move on & be happy with himself & for him to know that he DID do everything he could in their relationship. Sometimes it doesn't work but it WILL work in his favor as he will find someone who is deserving of HIM.

Agreed...I like the dark side as well but it's not just the physical aspect that needs to be understood...the psychological role in these types of relationships could not possibly be explained & understood with such little time. A second season where they were more of the focus may give it time it deserves & then maybe I'll feel a little more connected to the characters.

Anyway, I agree wholeheartedly with what you're saying. Taking out the torture for the sake of time & story telling for this season would have been appreciated as the psychological understanding of their relationship could not possibly be wrapped up in 2 episodes with other story lines being told. I did not read the Manga but I knew that VegasPete were supposed to have some crazy connection. But I got really confused because the power & connection I truly felt between Vegas & Porsche was so believable I was trying to figure out how they were going to top them for VegasPete to surpass them. I don't feel or see even a quarter of that desire with VegasPete. At least not yet but it's definitely going to be rushed for sure. Gun is a snack for sure...absolutely no need to apologize. The storylines of the whole show have some definite "I'll just go with it" suspension of disbeliefs, as well as whatever you say moments but they're not destroying my enjoyment of the show. I think they are all on the idiotic side of things with the "mafia" angle...pretty sure their families would have already been killed off quite quickly in the real world LOL.

Um, IDK. There's something odd about this show that I can't put my finger on. Like, it's boring I think? Dare I say that I think the episodes are too long...usually I pine for an hour instead of the 20 minute, 8 episodes that we usually get but this show is too long & filled with air. And nothing will hurt more than to admit that that scene at the end just didn't do it for me...something is wrong with me I think! LOL It should have had me grinning seeing stars but nope. The whole pace of this show, the dialogue, the story line...yawn.
As all of these cast members are well into adult hood...there lies my issue LOL. I guess I would just prefer to see them as grown ups, with grown up plots, & grown up responsibilities, etc. I'm not sure when these older actors will start demanding more mature roles be written for them so that they can stop killing themselves to change their appearances to appear much younger. Save the younger roles & plots to the younger & give these actors scripts that have them as their age & mentality!! LOL
